- We do an overnight pub stop in our motorhome on the South coast of the UK this week.
We're at The Maypole on Hayling Island and stay overnight at their car park in our motorhome.
Pub stops are a great way to tour the UK in a motorhome and stay overnight for free. It is free to stop but they do ask that you pop in for a drink.
We're Julia and Gary, full time motorhomers who travel the world in our Swift Kontiki Motorhome.

Hayling Island was our first day trip in our new motorhome. Will definitely try the pub for a stop over. It looked lovely❤

Now you have us completely buffaloed! I absolutely love your "diet" and wonder if you could send us a PDF! LOL It seems like the main menu on the diet for the motor home was getting rid of the converter. Why does the motor home have to be on diet and Gary most likely find himself in a lovely pub on PI day (March 14!) Wink wink, nudge nudge!

Enjoyed the vlog keep up the great work, but can I ask, when we were watching Gary was sat on the right driving but then a short time later it looked like he was sat on the left hand side driving, this happened a couple of times. Is it just my eyes ??? Or did I see right
🤣🤣 it's just the way the phone camera transposes...we still don't understand it fully ourselves 🤣 but we're definitely a right hand drive and Gary's nearly always in the driving seat. Thanks for watching and the lovely comment, all the best Julia and Gary 🤩
I won’t be leaving France and taking my la strada anywhere near the Uk, potholes traffic crime just a country now I don’t recognise, I live in France, Aires motorway stops galore. Went 130 miles Christmas london to dorset took 7 hours with a cat in a cage and two petrol station stops, well done to you cos I won’t
We don't blame you, the roads feel so narrow, we think it's a real shame that the UK don't operate an Aire system, so many run down high streets could do with the boost to their economy. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🤗
