It's not surprising to me that, with Xavi being my favorite player of all time, that Gavi is becoming my favorite of this generation. But I think Gavi is much more aggressive as a player than Xavi, but both are so much fun to watch. And Pedri? Holy bananas. Such skill and grace. Love these boys. Please keep them forever, Barça!

pedri is very similar to Iniesta, but gavi makes an absolute contrast with Xavi. xavi was the essence of calm, gavi is the description of hyperactivity.
Pedri is like iniesta. But playing style of Gavi is very different than Xavi's.
I would say that Pedri can take Xavi's role while Gavi would be the dribbling and more offensive midfielder

Pedri is like a mix between iniesta, xavi and busquets, reminds me a bit of zidane. Gavi it's just fantastic, what a balance my god, this kid is insane good as well, he's like a rock, nobody can tackle him, it's like a puyol, toure yaya and iniesta, such a great player, we need them for the next 10 years I can organize the money collect :D

It's definitely too early to judge but they do have the potential to become the best duo same as Xavi and Iniesta all those years ago
for me honestly, Gavi reminds me much more of Iniesta, a dribbler with skills, good pass and long distance shot. And Pedri is more like Xavi, he likes to have the ball, extremely good passing and rarely times you see him running.
i never watched 6 and 8 in their prime, but one thing i can say. These boys are joy to watch.

I always watch every time they play and I describe their game Playing style:
Xavi=Pedri
Iniesta=Gavi
Gavi kinda reminds me of Messi at times in the way he dribbles because they have the same type of body that gives them an incredible balance with a low centre of gravity, not trying to compare Gavi with Leo, but Gavi sometimes dribbles past players while getting tackled and the guy keeps going (kinda like Messi did/does(?))

Pedri not from la masia but he plays like he was graduate from la masia, understand the system and could implement it smoothly on the pitch, such an amazing player. Gavi like a gem if he could develop more and gain more experience undoubtly he could become one of best midfield along with pedri. They're both strong and then are so complementary to play together.. I think that pedri(2 years only older) is a player "done and finished" already..instead gavi(2004) is too green but I think he can become stronger and stronger and stronger.. I think pedri is similar to Iniesta, gavi is a mix of Messi( see his box to box and explosivity).. He's unique, hybrid player
Even as a loyal colchonero I have so much respect for what Pedri and Gavi are doing. They are the next Xavi and Iniesta.
They do, though I see a leader in Gavi more, because he is more vocal, and isnt shy to give instructions to other players, lol even older ones, and the way he cares about others, celebrating with Ansu Fati`s shirt after win over Real Madrid, or even some players running towards him when they score.
Both of them are really really magical, Gavi reminds me of Xavi and Pedri of Iniesta, not only in playing styles, but in their personalities too.

Really wish these two start together regularly when Busquets retires and DeJong drops to CDM.
They are unbelievable. Different from Xavi and Iniesta but probably better at their age. It is true that both Xavi and Iniesta grew up in a Barca full of stars whereas perhaps these couple of years in which Barca has changed and rebuild have been a opportunity for Pedri and Gavi to rise earlier.
Having said so they still have to improve and demonstrate their value over several years but, they are in their way to be as good.
I add, I am not a Barca fan but I think they have all the reason to be the most excited fan in the world, because of these two but not just because of these two.
the way they are playing at this age, honestly they can become better then Iniesta and Xavi. I grew up watching them play. But these two boys are playing at a higher level at 17 and 19. We must keep them both.

he looks more like messi if you ask me. when messi was young. 17 years old. he had this same drive. always flying through the air. but gavi has this intensity as midfield it's something else... we haven't seen the last of him yet!

I don't think Gavi gonna be the next Messi but at the same time he has that kind of style and its not a coincidence he is wearing the 30,Gavi played as the "Messi of the team" in La Masia,he can play as a "link"(I don't know how you say that position in english xD,offensive midfielder or second forward)or he can play as a wing forward,maybe is to early but the similar style its already obvious to me.

Pedri is not as good dribbler or attacker as Gavi, but his passing is way better. I think de Jong, Gavi, Pedri, Nico and Puig should be five main midfielders of Barca, and Frank Kessie can be sixth. They can actually make a generation

It is not an exageration, I follow barcelona since 2005 and Xavi and Iniesta, Legends as they are, were not even close to what Pedri and Gavi are doing at the same age. Their maturity and mentality are remarkable.
This proves that even when nowadays young folks may have a lot of negative stimules and terrible messages from the system itself (goverments, schools, tv, etc) the kids still came way more prepared mentally for elite football, as long as they have been a professionalism and responsability.
Only similarity with Gavi and Xavi is the how similar their names sound and that they’re both La Masia grads. Gavi has his own thing, different type player of player than what xavi was. Reminds me of a classic English box to box midfielder, very talented and with a bright future. Now Pedri with iniesta, I do definitely see a lot of similarities there. Both creative midfielders with a magical touch!
