Thank you, google was not giving me a video like this for weeks when I searched for how to make my own. Only showing me videos on how to select on in game after I downloaded one from a sketchy website. This video needs to blow up, keep up the good work.
This is my first time seeing your channel. You do a good job explaining, providing examples, and then circling back to ensure the listener had time to process what you said. I wish more content creators followed your style for educational videos.
thanks for this, just started watching but this is exactly what i need. there are some issues with the neversink filter (no fault of him, he obviously didnt konw drop rates) and i really want to change and hide some stuff.
@Always_Rogue Do you know if there is a way to show rare items only if they have a tier (Ex: Tier 2). I tried to play with the filter but I can't seem to get it to recognize that and hide all other rares. Btw great job on describing how to do basic filters!
Hmm not sure, you can experiment with putting "Tier" in quotes after BaseType to see if it recognizes that but I don't think it will. Tiers are new in PoE2 from PoE1 so there could be a new keyword that reads those item tiers that I don't know of.
Thanks for the video. I've been trying to get it to "hide everything that isn't expert base type or rare" but I'm having a little trouble. Will keep tinkering with it. I already extracted all the expert base types from poedb, might be an ordering thing, i'm not sure how it prioritizes "hide" and "show" placed against the same item.
Hey thanks for watching the video. You can try something like: Show Class "Body Armour" BaseType "Expert" Rarity = Rare Hide Class "Body Armour" Because "Expert" is in quotes for the base type, it'll get any base that has the word expert in it even if there are other characters before/after (a little advanced trick). The example above would show all base types with the word "Expert" in it of Rare (yellow) rarity and hide ALL other body armours. Keep in mind this would also hide UNIQUE body armours unless you specify a rule for them elsewhere ABOVE the hide rule in the example. Hope this helps.
Thanks for a great video, have played around with this a lot after watching this one, it's very fun! Is there any way to filter armors in a single line? Am playing a witch, and i want to filter the ES and the Armour/ES body armour.. Skipping all evasion and armor gear. I get very close by doing this: BaseArmour > 5 BaseEnergyShield > 5 And before that Hiding anything with evasion and armour, but something keeps getting messed up. And stuff with only armor starts to reappear? Should be an easy solution or a quick fix that i am missing.
This could so easily be a thing in the game. I really don't understand the decision making at GGG. A million good ideas hampered by a billion questionable steps to get there.
@@mrcssee That I'm not sure about unfortunately. You can refer to the wiki I have in the description and see the list of item classes. It could be several of those options like "MiscMapItem" or you can try Class "Excavated" or Class "Expedition". Feel free to try them out and let me know if you find which one works
That I'm not sure about. I know the PlayAlertSound keyword is what gets used to play a sound in the first place but I don't know where the sounds are being pulled from. Maybe the wiki mentions where the sounds exist in the file directory and you can upload a custom sound there?
@@straatien so all the mivrotransactions will be free when it becomes free to play as well? you also need a lot of things in that shop in order to enjoy the game fully...
@@rolawrence036 No... you really don't. Not even close. Have you even played PoE as a whole? PoE1? Absolutely nothing in required to get 100% access to the game. I spent ~20 bucks to get stash tabs back in PoE1, that then carried entirely to PoE2. There is a reason this game and studio are so well loved by their community. You don't need to spend a dime with them in order to get the same love and gaming experience as the guy who spends hundreds.
@@rolawrence036 wait i have a great idea! they should make you pay to use lootfilters as well! i always feel i can enjoy stuff more when i actually payed for it ^^

Is there a way to make an "or" statement? Like if I want to have one show block that plays an effect when an item has quality OR sockets

Best DIY filter video, most video I've seen are people speaking jargon. You make it easy to understand. You are a great teacher!

Thanks for showing this, dude
No problem, hope it was helpful.
Thank you good sir! I needed this
@@TheMachine44 You're welcome!
cool. I'm new to PoE and really like how much customization you're allowed to do.
Welcome to PoE my friend, this game is great.
Same, kinda feels like wow addons in a way. Definitely not quite as in depth as those but got the same customization vibe.

Thanks so much :)

Is there a way to hide body armor with armour or with mix stats(evasion/energy)?

One thing Last Epoch did better, having a integrated loot filter. It's crazy that this game doesn't have it.
