Good to know that the 6 or 7 foot hole is needed for the outhouse, as well as the 4 foot radius to prevent stepping on the soil there with the covering, and also the filter on the side for updrafting air. These design specs are good to know just in case.

+Dave Williams Hi. this article covers that subject very well. I found it a few years ago & it's very interesting. I'd never heard about it although I've lived in Tennessee since I was 13 (so nearly 47 years, now.)

+Susan Young Why don't doctors routinely test patients for parasites, in blood work and or stool samples? Probably 30% to 50% (if not more) of people would benefit greatly by first clearing out their digestive tracts thoroughly, testing the contents & treating anything found.
It seems like it'd be damn near impossible to figure out what's wrong with 'grandma', if she hasn't ever had her colon cleared out & she's over 70 years old.
Eliminating the stasis of the digestive tract, releasing any toxins being held in, (due to most of us not taking in enough water or healthy fiber in our diets, so that nothing moves through the body as quickly or as efficiently as it should) would likely fix the fatigue, malaise, weakness, brain fog, aching joints & muscles, stiffness and many digestive symptoms while sometimes even alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety. Getting rid of all the 'Hangers On" that are routinely hitchhiking & hijacking our bodies should be the first thing doctors advise, but I've never had one even bring it up.
Whether a sickness is caused by bacteria, viruses, the common cold, autoimmune illnesses, pneumonia or from Crohn's disease to cancer, I imagine every single patient would benefit immensely from just clearing out their digestive tract, while doctors run tests on samples, then treat any resistant boarders in their bodies. Why don't they tell people the truth that garbage in = garbage out when it comes to nurturing the one body we have?
At some point the medical profession stopped looking at a patient as a whole person or organism, with all our organs interlinked & interdependent on each other part's health. They stopped looking after a patient's HEALTH, and they began almost solely managing the different chronic symptoms which NEVER GO AWAY and keep people chained to a doctor's hip the rest of their life for refills....(but no one is getting any better except those who figure out the more natural ways to do what it takes to BE HEALTHIER. )

@@KathyHussey063 about a century ago it was common practice to worm yourself & family once or twice a year at same time with the animals raised. Now , we look around & see.... No worming, Way more disease. And quite fascinating that Ivermectin treats COVID, yeah?? 🤔 And even yet, still we can have a basically unchanged conversation with the majority of society, be personal &/or professional settings. 🐞

    • @KathyHussey063
      @KathyHussey063 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@gabriellegilbert5239 It may be the only reason ivernectin seems to help some people to fight covid19 (not really "treat it", itself, specifically but why it helps those patients outcomes) is that killing off the few parasites ivermectin does target may help a person's body, their intestinal tract, stomach avids, etc.to do what those parts are meant to do, so getting rid of a heavy load of internal parasutes should boost a damaged immune system, so yes then they could fight off viruses, bacteria any infestations easier. Parasites thrive better in a person with a weakened immune system. If your body can't fight parasites as well as it normally should when the body is working right, then it has a hard time keeping them from settling in and gaining a foothold, It lays perfect ground for parasites to invade..
A body out of balance enables parasites to stay and flourish, so Ivermectin could seem to be what is helping a patient alot, IF that patient was harboring the parasite/s Ivemectin will kill. But, it only kills a select few so it's not a 'cure all' or it would not do nearly enough to address the loads of different ones in us all the time. The thing is to keep them from getting out of control.
Unfortunately many things we do these days encourage just thatto happen in us. Anti inflammatory meds (steroidal meds like cortizone, prednisone, depo medrol injectionsetc.) that millions of arthritis patients, cancer patients, Crohn's disease, Lupus & patients with many other diseases too, are prescribed these reguarly and they allow parasites to flourish. Nsaids too allow critters to multiply faster than they'd otherwise be able to in a healthy body. It's because they bring down inflammatory processes in the body which help alot to keep parasites in check.
Gardening without gloves on, barefoot, gives them access to your body through contaminated soil, where parasites may long lie awaiting a victim, you can not see most of them withthe naked eye. Contact with others whether by contaminated water or sewage sources, farm animals, pets & poorly cooked foods, some shellfish...there are so many ways they have to invade the body so..
If anyone is very sick in any way, it seems to me it'd be wise to get your blood & stool analyzed to find out what parasites or infections you may have so you can take the right meds or other more holistic methods, to kill those off. A colon cleansing treatment, or several of them, also would be wise. To help the body be as strong as it is, on it's own. Many people would probably ot even need a doctor or pescriptions IF those things weredone annually.
I think this is why it's not pursued as it should be these days. They taught the physicians of this last century to treat our SYMPTOMS, not us as a whole human being.
They'll rarely even look to find out why you have excess acid in your stomach everytime you eat, nope, just take these antacids tablets every single meal all your life, when you may just need to clear your system out so it CAN work Surgeries are pushed far more now than in the times before penicillin came along, because the high risk of infections, surgical complications & death greatly reduced how quick they were to cut patients open. Surgery too introduces a host of possible problems & complications, germs into our bodies that should not be in there.
Doctors make a ton more money by doing surgeries & havng patients IN the hospitali, where they MIGHT see yu for 3 minutes a day, charge thousands of dollars because you are in there.
What we don't know is killing us.

This method of teaching surpasses any other. I've studied parasites for decades and now I can finally start remembering which is which, because the rich historical context brings it to life. THANK YOU SO MUCH, FASCINATING INFORMATION. I wonder if the hot sun had anything to do with 'southern laziness? Or maybe the plantation owners got spoiled from previous dependance on slaves who miraculously did all the work from raising kids, cleaning house, cooking, and working in the fields. Add that to hookworms and you have a magic formula for triple laziness.

I really appreciated you taking your time to go into this topic as much as you did and not just rapidly shooting a succession of facts at us, too fast to soak in (as a lot of these kind of videos do) but talking to your audience in a conversational tone. It helped how you taught about the causes & symptoms of the hookworm and their similarities to other helminths. Thank you for such a detailed, information packed discussion of the history of the hookworm and how they discovered them and then mapped out it's life cycle. I always wondered when, why and how mankind started building outhouses and privy's which led to today's modern sanitation and the toilet's use.

Thank you for all this lectures. I send a bottle in the ocean to have an answer to my concern. In 2007 I was in India for 1 year, and in the early begining of my stay probably by mistake I drunk contaminated water. My symptoms was: anorexia with some days normal appetite, rapid loose of weight, general weakness, inconfort on the bowel, no diarrhea but the stools was like inflate by air and so no formed stools and no fever. I was certain it was parasitic infection but the doctors I visit the first 2 months of symptoms was not agree with my assumptions. I ended to visit an Ayurvedic doctor who diagnosed parasitic infection but he doesn't says me what was those parasites. After on month of Ayurvedic treatment without any improvement, I quit the treatment. I spend on month more and more weak, then I visit a reputed doctor who's also diagnosed a parasitic infection but unfortunately I havent understood the name he was giving for the parasites (I'm French and at the time was less fluente in English). When he've make the palpation of my belly, he says me: do you ear this noise of walking in the snow, it's typical of... (the name of the parasites that I haven't understood). The treatment was (it's hand writting, I can't read well and I don't remeber the brands) : take first Rablet-D 7 days, after those 7 days Oflin or Ofliw T2 5 days, after those 5 days Neutradin B for 5 days, Zentel 1 night repeat after 6 weeks, and reciepe to make electrolytes.
He warned me that it would be a "horse's treatment" (meaning strong) and that will weak me more, and it was, but after the sixth week all the symptoms have ended. Later and for years, I was notice that in hot weather my stomach was upset and my appetite low. And after approximatly 10 years this have ended.
So, 17 years later, after a lots of researchs, I'm still looking for an answer: what was "my" parasites? If anybody have an answer it would be great. Thank you for those who've read me.

This is true!! For difficult infections that have plagued us for sometimes DECADES, we need more than one anti parasitic med and multiple days. Then it usually needs to be repeated weeks later, sometimes multiple times until tests come back clear. To be on the safe side I would then continue to take a dewormer periodically to prevent it from happening again!! I will be discussing all of this with my Naturopath when I see him in a week!

Thank you! What a very informative video!
Yay for toilets but there are still nasty ass people out there who don’t wash their hands after taking a shit! 🤮🤬
No doubt it’s still being spread rampantly. Just this morning I saw a nasty diaper left in a parking lot. People are STILL so unsanitary and disgusting!
I grew up in the south and now I live in NH. Thank God I will be getting tested for parasites in about a week from my Naturopath! I had an ova and parasite test over 2 years ago by my pcp, or what I like to call pharmaceutical agent, and of course it came back negative… 😒
The reason is because a lot of these parasites and/or their eggs are NOT discovered from just one stool test! There need to usually be 3 in a row or more sometimes to catch these buggers! If little O’l me can find out this information, theres no reason or excuse that providers can’t or don’t already know this. I swear it’s purposeful. Maybe not by them, but the ones in charge of teaching them. Colleges and even beyond that, Big P!
I believe that a lot of disease and even C could be prevented and treated quite successfully if more people were tested PROPERLY for parasites. Another reason why they deny that parasites or at least certain parasites are in fact here in America and NOT just other countries.
I’ve had some odd, nuisance like symptoms for years, but have been suffering for over 3 years from debilitating systemic symptoms after getting Covid in April 2021. It’s now Aug 2024. Over the course of 3 years I have seen so many “Dr’s/specialists” and had tons of bloodwork, stool tests for ova and parasite, salmonella and pin worms. Nothing ever came of it. Had an Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, PFT,(pulmonary function test), Hematology/Oncology because I was afraid I had cancer because of the constant, chronic and debilitating systemic inflammation.
Asked for testing for Aspergillosis, Tuberculosis, GERD. I told the pulmonologist I thought I had Eosinophilic asthma. He said that’s not what I had without even testing me! 🤬 I made my pharmaceutical agent test my Eosinophils because I had done the research on my symptoms. In fact my Eosinophils came back high. A year later they were even higher! I also have a high igE which the two together are indicative of a parasitic infection! When bringing this information back to the pulmonologist he only wanted to put me on a very expensive Big P injectable medication. I refused!
I went to a Naturopath who diagnosed me with chronic Lyme and co-infections and EBV. Wanted to take advantage of me and tried to get me to do a $5,000 Lyme treatment. 😒
I knew my gut was telling me something more! I told my husband it feels like I just have a constant Cytokine storm raging in my body! No wonder!! 😩
I changed my diet and lifestyle. No processed junk,( I love cooking and baking from scratch anyway). Whole, organic foods mostly. I make all of my cleaning and hygiene products now to cut down on toxic load.
I had a biological dentist remove a root canal tooth, and then referred me to her colleague in Germany to remove the other two I had, plus open up and clean out wisdom teeth cavitation sites from where I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled over 20 years ago. So I traveled to Germany for that. Not that I regret doing that because that also leads to a burden of bacteria and infection ,(Lyme and so forth) in the body. We have probably spent close to 100 k over the past 3 years trying to figure out what’s wrong with me!! 🤬
A lot of physical, emotional and psychological torment too.
And to find out that it could’ve all been or mostly because of a parasite and my misery could’ve been avoided by better testing from the medical field is absolutely infuriating and disheartening! I swear they don’t want us to know that parasitic infection is more prevalent in the US for a reason!!! $$$ 🤬
Gee, maybe a cure for C would miraculously be made if we had a deworming program in America like they have in other countries! But then their money makers would come to an end, so I sincerely doubt it! Just a thought 🤔👌🏻

Looks like he said these go through the skin from the ground as well. You could have these no matter what 😢. I am doing a cleanse now and even though it’s only day two, I feel so much better. Parasites are still in America and doctors won’t even acknowledge them.

@ Exactly!! No Dr. has helped me or even believed me and gotten VERY annoyed that I even speak the words… 😒🤦🏻‍♀️
They are useless! I did my cleanse, but didn’t really notice a difference.
I have now cut out gluten and dairy to see if my symptoms improve. I also know that I don’t drink enough water, so I’m working on that too!
