Thanks a ton! It’s always a mystery how the TH-cam algorithm works… sometimes it feels like it’s hiding me under a pile of sprues and glue. 😅 But hey, 2024’s been kind, and I’ve somehow gathered a few thousand subs along the way! Maybe the algorithm finally found my stash of kits. Appreciate the support and stay tuned for more!
When I was watching the hard-edge camouflage painting on the last video, I thought it was clumsy indeed. But the final result from 16:05 looks really classy and realistic. Great job of weathering, diorama making and photo retouching. Excellent. 🤩
No doubt, it was clumsy. As said in that video, it was my first try on painting camouflage, and even I’ve managed to archive some great locking models, I’m still not seeing myself as some kind of professional modeler. Basically everything what you see on this channel is everything what I ever did in this hobby (beside my first two airplanes, nobody want to see, believe me). I was really hopeful that the camouflage putty I used will produce more soft edges, but also was disappointed when not (i didn’t press it hard). Next time I’m probably will try a different technique and hope it turns out more soft. Yes, the weathering did hide some of the hard edges, but definitely not all. Thank you very much for giving it a second try and glad you liked it :) I guess or better hope that in a few years my skill level has grown and I’ll have some more routine on specific techniques, then we can take a look back to today and probably laugh about it (well, at least that’s what I’m doing sometimes :))

@@GeneralPelleScaleModels You motivated me to do a MENG LEO2 A7+ for my first model. Just managed to achieve a quarter of your details, but still happy with it. Because of your video I tried to make it muddy. :D
@@MartinHardi wow that sounds great. But you’ve chosen quite a difficult kit for a beginner. Glad you’ve finished it. And don’t worry, most of the first few kits from everybody looks like, well, a beginner model. Practice is the key, the good thing is: there is a lot of stuff to explore. Happy building :)
