Did the EFI spring come with the regulator or did you have to get one? If you had to purchase separately what is the part number of the spring. Thanks

im gonna fuel inject without efi 2 cylinder lawn mower tractor engine just for the experience i know bit about electronic and i want to build a weird electronic system that ain't an efi computer
and im currently building the fuel system
my first though was #3 xD
but i bought a no return type regulator T_T
    i have question
what the diferance between return and bypass ?
still wacthing video at 7:34 at this moment
i have a though on #2 i would put a valve on the return line and close it until pressure get created and flow still occure but still why you would want flow in and out of the rail ? beginner here xD
#1 was my choice because my fuel ump can reach 140psi X_X i though i would burst those cheap clear tube i was using for testing

You didn’t show how to adjust

Question: my pump only makes 7psi max or 90 gph at 5psi. I also installed a regulator to have a return line in the system. I set the reg on around 5 psi and I wonder if the reg will ever opened because of the low pressure or in other words the system cannot create overpressure. Am I wrong?

I don’t know why you even put option #2 in there - it isn’t an option as the car wouldn’t even run.

It’s the “non-running car” option. Very important for some people

I bought a fpr. How do I adjust the psi down to 13psi as it has a vacuum port on top. Do you know if it's manifold vacuum or port vacuum? Is the vacuum port necessary so the fpr will work properly?
    Thanks for the video.

  • @lauradahlus

Thanks. I got my answer from your video.
I don't need to hook up the vacuum port as I have a TBI and the injectors are above the butterfly. 😊
Just need to figure out if the fpr can be adjusted down to 13psi now. I assume I turn the nut on top counterclockwise to lower the psi? Only thing is, my fpr regulator has two nuts on the vacuum port. Do I leave the ignition off with key on only to adjust?
    Thanks for your help.
    Great video.

Very misleading thumbnail. You spoke almost 0 on how a regulator works internally/mechanically. You just state what it does in the end state.

Awesome video! How much was your regulator? Unfortunately I am at the point with my Fitech where I may just put the carb back on to drive it (simply don't have the money for the edelbrock, or should I say the money for the divorce after buying the edelbrock). Problem is i have the Sherman tank with in-tank pump which is too high for a carb, thus I will need a regulator. Thanks as usual - always awesome info from you!

It was about $150, I put a link in the description to the one I bought. Check that out

My fitech internal regulator has failed twice ! Im running a efi tank with in tank pump(255 walbro) . In theory could I run the external regulator in your#3 system? Btw great video! 👍

so i had a plugged FPR vacuum hose and unhooked the hose on a new regulator hose was plugged for whatever reason making me think it was the FPR so when i went to unhook the FPR vacuum hose it was very hard and stuck on there like it had suction. when i pulled it off it kinda made this hissing sound now my tahoe wont crank and doesnt get pressure at the rail at all. im assuming i accidentally pulled it wide open or was bad to begin with and is now stuck.... oh the joy.

Can i also change the stock fuel pressure regulator on my car with no turbo, stock rail, stock injectors and pump? What are the odds?

Should you use #3 bypass system described on a carb setup?

I know this was about fuel pressure regulators....but for those of you watching to learn, don’t forget your 100 micron pre filter and your post filter...in my case 10 micron
