Our biggest frustration is that it doesn't have a members directory feature, which is the most basic feature for any church. Planning Center has the best People management and directory feature so far, so we are considering not renewing the contract with Subsplash. If you've figured out how to get a directory working, let me know.

Yes, we’ve not found a way to create a public or even members only directory of everyone. But as far as an internal directory where church admins can see all members and their info it’s built in. Just not member facing.

Hello Denny, thank you for your videos they are really helpful, making it really asy to create a website. I hope to help other churchers set up their website with what ive learned. I tried using your template tutorial. Im getting an elementor license mismatch error. Can you help me resolve this? Thank you

Glad it has helped! For the Elementor mismatch error, the issue here is that the site has Elementor Pro installed. This plugin isn’t actually needed. You can deactivate it. However, if you want to use it since it adds more features to the page builder, you’ll have to purchase a license. Where are you hosting the site? If you want to host the site with me, I can actually include a license at no cost.

Hey, Thanks for the video! Do you guys use this for camp registrations as well? I've found it very clunky, and lacks the ability to select multiple ticketed items. For example; our camps are weekly, so I wouldnt be able to ticket out camps for each week and allow people to pick and choose the ones they want.

Yeah there are some serious limits. I hope they keep improving it since they just redeveloped the whole feature and this is the initial release. You may check into PlanningCenter and see if their registration options are more suitable

So, in using your own WordPress website, does that integrate easily into the app?

We simply link in our app to our website which is supported. So we have a block that says "Website" and that just links to our own site. No different then how it works if you decide to use their site actually.

This is a great video. You are right, there aren't many Subsplash videos out there like this one. Would you recommend Subsplash over Planning Center? We are in the process of possibly signing up with Subsplash soon. I think the downside with PC is the app and the media feature (Which subsplash does really well). However, we would need the church management side as well. (Service planning, volunteer sign up, etc.). Do you know any alternatives?

ps - What did you not like about the church management and website features? Thanks so much! This is really helpful

Thank you! I totally forgot to mention those two points. For the website, it was really limited and “clunky”. We did initially use it but decided to switch back to our WordPress site and just embed the needed features (media library, online giving, etc) as shown. Part of my opinion is based on the fact I’m an advanced WordPress user. If you sign up, try the website knowing you can revert back to your existing site if you have one.
On church management, it truly depends on what specific workflows you need. Planning Center is hands down better for service planning and volunteer sign up. In a way you’d expect it to be based on their name, right. ;)
Subsplash has gotten better in this regard. Their new registration workflow for events and ability to print badges is very nice. I’ll be making a video soon. When we first signed up, church management was done via a 3rd party system called Fluro. They finally integrated it fully and it is better. No separate platform.
Again, if you sign up, I’d try to make it work but know in the back of your mind you may fall back on Planning Center.
I’ve not found a better alternative if you want mobile and TV apps. It really is where the whole platform shines.
      Hope this helps!

@@BenjaminDenny Another video would be great! This is very helpful. I'm going to subscribe to your channel. Also, I would love to have one platform for everything instead of taking users to various links. I've found this to be confusing for older church members. If this is the case, would you still recommend Subsplash if you could do it over?

@asherpanton, if you decide to sign up, try to negotiate a 30-day trial to get the feel of it. But I believe they will refuse. That's my best advice. We are approaching the annual renewal date and have decided not to extend the service. Grace and Peace!

Thank you Rev Stone. Other than the lack of directory, what has led to you all deciding not to renew?
