Thanks so much for making this video! I have an offer for biochemistry this upcoming September and the only thing pushing me back about kemp porter is the commute, specially if classes start very early or finish very late (or both). Would you happen to know anything about the biochem timetables, or just general thoughts on such a long commute? Thanks!

Hey congrats on your offer! I’m not sure about biochem timetables but I think most courses probably have their first lectures/labs/etc. at 9 or 10. As for when they end, I believe schedules are supposed to fall between 9am to 4/5pm. Club/society events usually run late since they start after classes end and if you’re interested in horizons(extra modules), they end at 6pm. I personally like my sleep haha so I would opt for halls with shorter commutes but if you’re fine with waking up earlier, then why not! If you’re going home late and are worried about safety, I suggest you go with a friend when it’s dark out. Another thing to note about KP is that you’d have to depend on public transport where strikes and delays are possible - I know some people who would prefer to mot have that uncertainty. Hope that helps and good luck on your first year! :)

@@jessayyou Hi there! I'm an incoming BME first year & I'd like to know more about our course's timetables and schedules (how are we have classes in a week, labs etc). Thanks in advance!

Hello! In first year, we had study groups on Mondays and lectures for the rest of the week, and for certain classes we also had labs once a week. Congrats and good luck for the incoming academic year :)
