    There should be some custom neck adapters for the newer mego heads

    Thanks for posting that video. I had heard the head attachment was supposed to be compatible with the new Megos released in 2018. That was a disappointment. Also concerned about the torso area. It appears to be a piece of plastic that holds the top and bottom together. I'm hoping that doesn't get weak over time and break. Looks kind of odd too. Thanks again.

    Hmm why would they redesign the waist swivel joint like that if it wasnt an improvement. Seems unnecessary. Maybe to lower costs

    I stood my new Deathstroke next to my s type Robin custom. Deathstroke looks like a Teen Titan next to him.

    Use some plumbers epoxy inserted in the neck plug & a small hook. With an inside elastic left arm to right arm, hook the head in place.

    It appears the new shoulders enable the arms to hang straight down rather than at an angle. I hope the new hip design also allows better posing.

    I hope Mego will cater more to the 3 3/4 Scale, with Basic articulation in the knees, shoulders and swivel arms. That would be awesome!👍

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be cool, however I am not sure if their current licensing agreements cover that scale. Pretty much everything they do right now is geared around either 8" and 14" scales, and those are the only body designs they have. Doing a different scale would mean all new tooling which would be expensive. Thanks for checking out the video!👍

    The new figure is an improvment IMO. Also I think the changes are to make it harder for unscrupulous people to pass them off as originals.

      I think,the hands are too small.even the 2018 Mego hands were too small.in my opinion.but these are even smaller

    Would the Snake Eyes head be compatible with the Mego bandless/Type S body?

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have any Type S bodies in my collection, so I can't answer that question. But I am guessing probably not just because the new head and neckpost is a different design from what has been done previously.

    • @onthefrontporchproductions
      @onthefrontporchproductions 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is. You simply need to remove the inner head insert on the 2022 heads ( 2018 heads don't have the inner insert) and then you will be able to use the Type S Head adapters sold by White Elephant Toyz.

    The new bodies are great except for the knee joints, they don't bend much

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, except for there was a wave of figures that had great articulation. I posted a video it comparing the 2018 body to the new bandless body. The knee problem was not there. That issue showed up with the newest figures.

    Where can you buy these? I thought mego went bankrupt?

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Mego came back in 2018 as Target exclusives, but now they are available for sale at multiple places, like Big Bad Toy Store and ZLC Collectibles for example. They currently have several licensing deals, including Star Trek, DC Comics, and House of the Dragon. They also recently acquired the rights to do Marvel characters, although none have been released yet.

    Im not a fan of the new mego bandless bodies. They are so stiff and break easier. They are smaller like 7" instead of 8" Mego should have taken more time on the redesign. But bandless bodies are the way to go nowadays.
    I'll personally stick with CTVT Type S Bodies. They are top notch

    The bandless bodies have already had issues with the pegs. Hip pegs breaking. The pegs are thin.

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I have seen that. So far, mine have not broken, but I can see how that hip joint is vulnerable to breaking. The older style hip joint is superior in terms of flexibility and also pretty easy to repair if the elastic breaks.

    • @Ron-ep3zl
      @Ron-ep3zl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LogicBlaster Yeah my Captain Picard's hip was broken but I had a spare part and fixed him. I may just order some FTC bandless bodies since Mego didn't design them to be changed with older or current Megos. They cut some corners and put more stress on the joint then there should be with the bands.

    Great video. Do you know if these can be used to upgrade the ones from Figures Toy Company? The articulation is pretty bad and I'm looking to find some type of body to make them at least stand and pose a little.

    • @LogicBlaster
      @LogicBlaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The figures made by Figures Toy Company have a different style neck attachment where the neck post is on the head and goes down into the torso. It might be possible to drill out a hole in the torso of the new Mego bodies. I have done it on the 2018 style figures, but I haven't attempted it on the newer body style, so I'm not sure if it would work.
