Somebody should go all out and make a legit King’s Cross-Hogsmeade Route in this.
To answer several questions,
-The viaduct at Ribblehead held 2 tracks for years and it was only after structural problems began to emerge in the 1970s that it was reduced to one single track.
-I also had the problem with the SSS Hall pack and all I can say was that it took a lot of tinkering, copying/pasting, backing up, and .rwp installing/reinstalling. Then Cache Clearing and game/PC restarts.
-I would love to see you run the Duchess again, maybe on WCML North.
-RETB has the AWS go off and signal change at last minute as that is supposed to represent you getting the token as you approach the board, and it works with the included Class 37/4 but not in steam.

-The tight curve at 55:20 is restricted to 40m/h for trains 55 is only for DMUs but TS doesn't know.

Those "horrible sounds" I am lead to believe are the fireman. You can increase shovelling speed and if you have automatic fireman then it will do that to keep the boiler loaded.
Goathland station on the NYMR was used as hogsmeade station. It is modeled for train simulator as part of the whitby and Pickering heritage railway on steam sounds supreme.
(The creators couldn't use the original names but the station is there)

it looks like a great western class 4073
4073 is the Castle Class, this is the 4900 Hall Class. They are very similar as GWR liked their standard designs
I agree with Moleman978, i am both a Steam Fanatic and a Harry Potter fan and i know that the locomotive used is a Hall Class, not a Castle Class, even with "Hogwarts Castle" on it, it still is a Hall Class, to be honest, it should of been called "Hogwarts Hall" or they should of brought in a Castle Class, but i guess renting a Castle Class for a film would be quite hard seeing that there was only 2 in operation at the time.
+Moleman978 olton hall is sometimes jokingly refered to as the hall that thinks it's a castle because of it being in the Harry Potter films as Hogwarts castle. apparently the real one still has the Orton hall name plate on the right side as only the left side of the train was shown in the movies

I think I know how to solve your problem with your western locomotive mole man have you tried updating your processor because that might be the problem your processor might be not up-to-date if you get a better processor it might help with that but I don't know why don't you try looking up something about that on Google

Hey I downloaded the route upgrades but I have an issue with all the trees they have added in have missing textures, so you know how to either uninstall them or fix the missing texture issue?
you would think they could invest in a HST by now, or maybe some third rail or overhead wires.
Well, whatever they'd choose, it'd be converted to run on magic and not need any electrification ;)
Moleman978 the overhead wires will feed magic into the train instead of electricity, the steam train burns magic to boil water, and the diesel train burns magic to create electricity or to turn hydraulic. the same applies here, but the burn magic at Hogwarts to then send the electricity or they send magic directly to the train

No.. just because it’s red doesn’t mean it’s James.. James is based off a L&Y Class 27 0-6-0 whilst this is a GWR 4-6-0 Hall Class.. completely different

Thought that this was a great northern service in real life...think it was cancelled.

Well Platform 9 3/4 is unfortunately not real, and therefore doesn't exist in this accurate depiction of Kings Cross :P

Idk much about steam trains but are u supposed to drive with 10% brakes on?
Yes you are, leaving them on 0% means the train has to use more steam pressure to try and keep the brakes released. 10%, or anywhere depending on the train, is known as running mode which basically locks them in position. Say I was coming to a stop, I'd apply enough brakes as I'd need, and then 'run' them at 10% to keep them there.
No idea if that's a 100% accurate answer, if you could research a better one I would insist on doing so, not an all-knowing expert unfortunately xD

Umm, maybe Platform 9 3/4 isn't real? :P
Seriously though, the actual 9 & 10 gap is in another section of the station, and doesn't feature the classical pillars that the characters run through, they are only found on lower numbered platforms (which is where the film scenes were recorded) so I went with that.

No, it is called a Castle but is actually a GWR 4-6-0 Hall class. Olton Hall to be exact. This actually caused a bit of confusion, like when hornby made their model of the Hogwarts Express they ended up using a Castle Class instead of a Hall Class

No I couldn't, the platform numbers are a set part of the route itself. Even if I moved the train to platform 9, A. it's not 'film accurate' to where the scenes were recorded and B. 9 3/4 still doesn't exist, so it would still be wrong.
