Jordan is an absolute legend - I ordered a Switch physical copy through PlayAsia immediately when I heard it would be available as I was also asleep in America when the Square Enix store dropped the physical preorder. Only ever played 4 and 6 (as 2 and 3 here) so I’m excited to play them all!
I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun. I know I did on my first playthroughs of Two and Three. Admittedly Four is still my favorite, but the others that I have played are top tier. I missed Five, so I'm most excited to play that one.

Haven’t played a pixel FF game since FF Mystic Quest back in the day so I got the bundle and it’s straight up the most fun I’ve had with video games in years. Even if you buy them individually these games are totally worth it.
The post game dungeon that will be really missed is the one for FFV, it was really good. The only one I greatly prefer another version is III just because I like how they turned the generic no name characters into actual likable characters.
definitely super happy to see these games on modern consoles along with the 2d version of FFIII, out of the 6 games i would say FFV is my favourite, it has the job system, pirates, Gilgamesh, a turtle and is just all round fun to play.
FF4 will always be my favorite, but I'll grant you that Faris (the purple-haired pirate lady) is perhaps the best character design in this package. I just preordered the physical collection Monday, so it will be a while until it arrives, but I'm excited for it nonetheless.

And I've also played the other Final Fantasy games (except the original FF 3 which I have not played, only the ds remastered version), and have throughout the entire series, I just loved the idea of playing these classic JRPG titles on the go. I have been going through the Pixel Remasters of I - VI as well. I forgot just how amazing these games are. My original plays of I, IV, and VI were on their original systems. An these are the closest I think I have seen them to those originals. I like the original font. It can be changed of course. But it was harder for me to see. (almost 46 y'all) They took each game back to the root of the game, but they are still easier. (Looking definitely at IV and I) Been playing the original since 1990....trust me when I say it has been taken from the PS1 "Easy Mode". They did fix so many things not taken care of before. One that completely stood out was the Final Fantasy I peninsula enemy bug. The top two grids on that area had enemies that were about 10 or so levels above you. Get Fira/Fire2 and Diara/HRM2 and you could jump at least 15 levels in a few rounds.....not anymore.
@@SwitchWatch it would be, but if I had to pick one over the other it would be the 4x XP boost simply because how it cuts down on the overall grind in general especially in regards to battle transitions, command inputs, etc.
I still think £14.99 is a tad dear for a SNES game in '23 - even a dolled up one, but the option to pick and choose your favs on top of the quality of life options makes the purchase(s) considerably more attractive than if SE had simply bundled the original versions of each game into a single £50 release and said "Here you go, don't say we don't give you anything".
This is my most anticipated game so far for this year. I can finally play the games i missed out. Thats 1-5. I know i missed a lot. As always thanks for the discount code.
Too late Jordan, I preordered my copy of the Asian physical almost immediately when it became available and it is now in transit.. I had to do it, it has five of my top ten favorite Final Fantasy games. It might end up being six but I didn't get the opportunity to play Five until now. I mean sure, I could have bought it for the PC, but I am a bit of a physical copy nerd.

People need to stop whining about prices. These were EACH $45-70 new. I bought 2 of them for SNES, that was over $110. Gaming has NOT kept up with the cost increases everything else has experienced (thank God!). Just bought my Switch copy off Amazon, get the physicals while they exist.
FFVII was a revelation for me, so much so that I chipped my PS1 so I could play 6. FFVII is still my favourite jrpg of all time but FFVI is a seriously classic jrpg.
@@SwitchWatchwell, the auto battle feature does speed up battle considerably, including all attack and magic animations. Although you lose control of your characters if pressed, it essentially functions as both auto battle and battle speed.

I’m surprised to hear from you that FFV is your favorite because that’s my favorite. I played the Super Famicom version in Japanese. I didn’t like the English version released in PS1 where I also played FF6. Looking forward to play 5 and 6 again in this Pixel Remaster
I hate how SE did not make the first two re-releases on NS (FFX & FFXII) easier to break… FF I-IX on switch are all added with new features to make the game easier, not to mention that these features are highly customizable. They really made the 9 games suitable for players who really want to experience the series’ renowned story-telling and world-building yet lack the time/effort/capability for some of the demanding battles featured throughout the series. If only they can introduce the 4*exp & 4*gil(from PR) or HP/MP cheats(from 7-9 on NS) back into the first two re-releases😢
and now I heard the boosters are actually REMOVED from the switch version, or saved exclusively for some other versions, damn SE what are you thinking😅
My only gripe is the auto-battle icon is permanently stuck in the upper left during battles. I really want it gone.. it should only appear when you actually use auto-battle.😣

Removing the need to grind while providing options to circumvent the challenge in dungeons isn't in the spirit of the original games. I realize that I'm grumbling, and as a NES gamer - am definitely out of touch with the digital zeitgeist of faux ownership and overly accessible challenge levels; but I like playing games that I can lose. Don't we have enough instant gratification?
I actually like the Higher Resolution Fonts in the Pixel Remasters. Unfortunately I never got the Physical Copy for the Switch, so far I got FFI from the eshop. 🙁
I’m conflicted if I get it on ps5 or switch. Obviously switch is portable but PS5 has better controller and is the better system imo I just prefer playing games on it

Just received my Asian copy. Having 1-12 on switch with potential of tactics also is definitely great. I’m loving the classic remaster/ remakes of some of my fav games coming to switch, can’t wait for suikoden.
True. It’s not a brilliant price but I think the effort has been put it. If they were just the exact original games I would not have been happy with the price
€75 is fair in my opinion. Sold separately the pricing is fair for remastered 2d games, it got a arranged sound track, HD textures and sprites, QOL features. They´ll probably be like 50% off on sale by the end of this year. The distribution of the physical version is the worst flaw. Out of all the 11 games only VII, VIII and XII were properly released in Europe. IX is only released digitally and the game card of Final Fantasy x/x-2 HD Remaster only contained half of the content. On the bright side, the Switch is region free and it´s a nice system to play Final Fantasy on, once you traveled the earth to collect these games.
My biggest issue with the Steam version was it was the first version of FF1 to remove the best grinding spots including Peninsula of Power. Did that get addressed in this version?
I refuse to play this on console when I have a perfectly fine PC more than capable of 16bit games The main reason why I refuse to get this on PC as well, is bcuz of the font and the gameplay modifer. And the insane price for these games, too I can only hope the PC version is updated on par with the console versions. The VAST majority of gamers are on PC
Anyone else notice that the map music on the Switch FF6 pixel remaster doesn’t change to the proper music? For me, it stays on the Narshe music. So irritating to have paid so much money and have such an irritating bug. Anyone know of fixes?

Someone can say if the Nintendo Switch version have achievments? I know that Nintendo dont have achievments system. What i want to say is if this FF have some ingame achievments like shovel knight games and Megaman Legacy titles.
Honestly I won't lie I do wish these were proper remakes with all of the fancy bells and whistles. But man the music is timeless and the new orchestra takes on it is the best thing about this game. Honestly this game is very over priced and it's a must buy on sale. Also all I need 5 and 6.
Auto-saves finally, can't believe they didn't add in all of the bonus stuff though. Yeah if you do these on your a bit more Jordan channel I would watch them..
Kinda wish they did have the extra content, cause it could add to the achievements they could use. That said, eh. Overall I can't say I care too much. The bonus stuff from ff1 just felt pointless to me. I could beat the final boss at low 30s. Why would I need to get more powerful items that break the game? But eitherway. I still bought it on ps4 having full knowledge of this. Lol

Most of them loaded for me, but the main issue was it would only hold a save file for one game. So if I played anything else I’d lose my FF5 save 😆

I might be a heathen but I prefer the new music and font style. That's from someone who DID play the originals.

€75 is fair in my opinion. Sold separately the pricing is fair for remastered 2d games, it got a arranged sound track, HD textures and sprites, QOL features. They´ll probably be like 50% off on sale by the end of this year.
The distribution of the physical version is the worst flaw. Out of all the 11 games only VII, VIII and XII were properly released in Europe. IX is only released digitally and the game card of Final Fantasy x/x-2 HD Remaster only contained half of the content. On the bright side, the Switch is region free and it´s a nice system to play Final Fantasy on, once you traveled the earth to collect these games.
I tried to order the physical copy through play-asia and they rejected my credit card. There's nothing wrong with my credit card!
Usually that's something to do with your bank. They think buying from Hong Kong is dodgy. Might be worth giving them a call and 'okaying' Play Asia.
My biggest issue with the Steam version was it was the first version of FF1 to remove the best grinding spots including Peninsula of Power. Did that get addressed in this version?

Sadly no the first game on this version that has Over powered grinding spots WITH the 4x exp boost are FF4 to 6 only.
I refuse to play this on console when I have a perfectly fine PC more than capable of 16bit games
The main reason why I refuse to get this on PC as well, is bcuz of the font and the gameplay modifer. And the insane price for these games, too
I can only hope the PC version is updated on par with the console versions. The VAST majority of gamers are on PC

FF4 and 6 give me the cozy feelz of nostalgia, after just hearing the music. Still won’t make me cough up 75 buckazoids for 30 year old games though.

Anyone else notice that the map music on the Switch FF6 pixel remaster doesn’t change to the proper music? For me, it stays on the Narshe music. So irritating to have paid so much money and have such an irritating bug. Anyone know of fixes?

Someone can say if the Nintendo Switch version have achievments? I know that Nintendo dont have achievments system. What i want to say is if this FF have some ingame achievments like shovel knight games and Megaman Legacy titles.

Honestly I won't lie I do wish these were proper remakes with all of the fancy bells and whistles. But man the music is timeless and the new orchestra takes on it is the best thing about this game. Honestly this game is very over priced and it's a must buy on sale. Also all I need 5 and 6.
Auto-saves finally, can't believe they didn't add in all of the bonus stuff though. Yeah if you do these on your a bit more Jordan channel I would watch them..

Kinda wish they did have the extra content, cause it could add to the achievements they could use. That said, eh. Overall I can't say I care too much. The bonus stuff from ff1 just felt pointless to me. I could beat the final boss at low 30s. Why would I need to get more powerful items that break the game?
But eitherway. I still bought it on ps4 having full knowledge of this. Lol
