This is why I have my 12ft Hoidoo. With there 46lb thrust trolling motor, that is fitted for my kayak. And my 2.5 Suzuki outboard, on a railblaza side mounted transom. Also installed TAK-GEAR ABS plastic outriggers which I can lift. So i purchased a beautiful nicely priced kayak. Which i love. With Troller, outboard, PDL drive, outrigger kit, and paddle. Always can atleast find cover. Water can change in a minute. I'm just over prepared. But love it!! Be safe bro..🙏🤟🎣
I sold this kayak and I have a hobie pro angler 14 and its fast and stable , you can see on one of my other videos where I was pedalling fast to beat a storm and I talked about this video as I was moving
fishing Awesome bro. They're so beautiful. I was gonna spend, about $3500. But for my 1st Kayak, I wanted room for some toy's lol. And you know how we all like our unique setups. It's a true investment, that never loses any value. Especially in the Covid era, and to this day. Well I'm glad and grateful I'm not one of those people waiting a whole season for one to arrive. If I ever upgrade, I'm picking it up in person. Even if it's 4 states over. Be safe my friend. 🎣🙏
Lol..Will do my friend. That's a trailer deserved kayak. They are beautiful. Would love to spend a day out on that beast. That's an amazing deal. Tight lines bro..🤟🎣🙏
Daanng! Our first trip out we had a small storm pop up like that. Wasn’t nearly as bad but my youngest boy was struggling. I had to tow him in lol. Glad you made it out!
Thanks but it was actually fun after I realized the kayak could handle it , I have another video on my Hobie PA14 kayak and I'm cutting through the storm with ease
Thanks , i really liked it but i sold it because at the time i had 3 kayaks , its super stable but its really slow and i fish really big lakes and marsh so i kinda stick to pedal drive kayaks
Yeah I'm looking the get the perception showdown , it's the pedal drive outlaw but I currently have a Hobie PA14 but I want something that's easier to just put the n the back of my truck , I carry the Hobie on a trailer
Yep , it was my first day on the perception outlaw 11.5 , I had went to one spot and hit a 32" red but on the way home I stopped here and the storm surprised me , I'm glad I wasn't at the first spot because it would have blown me across a ship channel from the Texas to the Louisiana side
@@FoolisH409 you're right because I had no control but I'm glad it pushed my right to my truck which was right on the other side of the grass at the end of the video
It caught me totally off guard , I normally go out on a pedal drive kayak so I can zoom back to the ramp if needed but this day I was trying out the perception outlaw and the thing was just too slow
The music was added to make it more dramatic 😂 plus this was when I first started using a go pro and was learning how to edit so I just did a quick edit with the go pro app
Damn, that storm even rolled in with its own soundtrack. Glad you survived the storm and that horrific noise.
The music was to make it a little more dramatic 😂
Dude your awesome as F!!! Hilarious
Felt like I was caught in a club with a bad DJ
😂
Haha
Proves that Outlaw is a beast. Convinced.
Time to head in about an hour earlier..... glad you are safe!
The storm was bad...the audio track was even worse. ;-)
The audio was something to choose from in my go pro camera as I didnt know much about video editing at the time

I like the epic music and the waves look bad azz. Honestly if you out Viking music it looks even more bad azz
Little bit of a pucker factor there, like level 7.....
😂

Thanks , I watch the radar constantly while on the water now 😂
@@hookemhardfishing1946 yessir I would imagine lol
Loved the music...this was crazy
Thanks
Dude the same thing happened to my earlier this month! I was paddling my heart out going no where lol! Scary for sure glad I had my life vest!!
It dont look that bad until it hit ya
Nice, cool to see the outlaw on something other than still water
That looked 😧 scary. Glad you are alive 💯
Thanks but it was actually fun after I realized the kayak could handle it , I have another video on my Hobie PA14 kayak and I'm cutting through the storm with ease
wow the music really adds to the footage
😂That gave me anxiety just watching the storm coming in. I was saying paddle man paddle.
😂
How do u like your Outlaw 11.5, I've been thinking about getting one. Glad your ok
Thanks , i really liked it but i sold it because at the time i had 3 kayaks , its super stable but its really slow and i fish really big lakes and marsh so i kinda stick to pedal drive kayaks
But its a great kayak for places that dont have a lot of fast moving current , i bought to go into real shallow marsh areas
seeing thisa few years later while looking at outlaw 11.5 this has me completly convinced. do you have outriggers?
No outriggers, the kayak is very stable but it's slow when paddling
Been there in that same boat, but with gators swimming all around. No fun, but the Outlaw handled it just fine.
Yeah I'm looking the get the perception showdown , it's the pedal drive outlaw but I currently have a Hobie PA14 but I want something that's easier to just put the n the back of my truck , I carry the Hobie on a trailer
Good job keeping it together and being able to tell the story of your close call.
Haha. That was great. I see that happening to me during this summers afternoon popup storms
😂
Hurricane Disco!
Wow that was 🥜 NUTZ!

Yeah.. no. This is giving me anxiety. I have this same exact Outlaw.
At least you know it's stable and I'm 6'2" 290lbs
@@hookemhardfishing1946 yeah it’s definitely stable but in turn difficult to paddle in those circumstances 😔 glad you were ok.

@@FoolisH409 oh and thank , once I realized it wasn't going to flip I started to enjoy it 😂
Im scared with lighting more than fhe waves hha
Glad your ok loved the music for your get away lol
Thanks
I'd would've been packing my Depends full for sho.
😂😂😂😂
Looks like it held up pretty well
It did really good , not once did I feel like I was going to flip
@@hookemhardfishing1946 picking one up Friday after speak with you on Facebook
Total madness, u must see météo weathers before! U stay under clouds and u risk be hit by ligntning..... so maddddd
I have other videos of me being caught in a storm too
Hell no.

You should have kept fishing lol 😂
Wow.
If i had to listen to that music during the storm id capsize and dive to the bottom so it was muffled.
