Idea for your 4K special video. Matt and Russ switch seats, wardrobe and roles for the episode. Russ leads while Matt chills and adds his 2 cents while rockin a band shirt and sunglasses. Solid gold boys…
Twice in as many days, you’re spoiling us guys. Yeah I’d love to see more behind the scenes stuff for the 4k subscribers event. Live recording would be great too. Did you see the Duel 4k set pop up at Zavvi? I missed that one. Can’t wait for Jackie Brown.
I can't wait for behind the scenes. Already can see Russ in his car like "pulling up to the studio now" and it's like matt's driveway and he's mowing the lawn. 😊
It's underrated and has arguably the best speech in all of the Rocky films. I wouldn't call it perfect, it gets too neat at times (connecting the little girl from the original as the female lead), but it's a nice addendum to the original while not completely feeling out of line with the other sequels.
just pre-ordered. Enter the Dragon 4k limited-edition steelbook. From HMV in the UK. Limited to 1000 pieces. Thought it was interesting because the other limited edition was available to it was limited to 3000 pieces. 🤙
Can't wait for Jackie Brown; I'm betting his heaviest involvement will be with that one since he'll have the opportunity to gush about the genius of Elmore Leonard!
Great point... he loves doing that for others and Jackie is his only literal adaptation. Talking about his own movies, he doesn't get AS giddy (which is still cocaine energy giddy since it's Tarantino).
From what i understand, Tarantino personally owns the rights to The Whole Bloody Affair cut, so if he is involved with the 4k release of Kill Bill, there is a good chance TWBA could be included.
Was that always the case or did this happen after Weinstein? If it was always the case, I'm not optimistic because why now? If it's the latter, I'm cautiously hopeful. With him retiring from filmmaking, I could see him releasing it at some point with the caveat of it not being a "new" movie.
@Russ ceasetheruss I don't exactly. My educated case is that Tarantino always had the rights because it was never released in home video. In 2005-06, TWBA was going to be released on DVD. There was even an official mock up case that was making the rounds at conventions Before it was quietly canceled. Tarantino has been showing TWBA at his movie theater, The New Beverly, over the years. Tarantino has never been too involved with home releases, so if he is doing it now, TWBA is not out of the question. It's pure speculation of course.
Looking forward to more Tarantino 4k. Lonsgate should be making a couple of nice steelbooks for KB and JB. Hopefully the person involved with the ear slip cover is working at disney now.
great news about Tarantino movies are all coming out in 4K already love pulp fiction and reservoir dogs and inglorious bastards in 4K and recently ordered another Australian version of reservoir dogs
Matt, I must concede that your hopes of a box set does seem more likely now. I hope that we do get one, and if we do, it better not be in any shitty thin ass cardboard.
Unsure at the moment, but these titles are too big not to be offered everywhere. Regardless, since 4K is region free, you should be able to imprt a copy from anywhere.
I saw Enter the Dragon in the theatre and my memories of Bruce Lee actually predate that film. I can remember him playing Kato on The Green Hornet, a spinoff from TV's Batman series in the '60s. Anyway ... if there were to be a 4K upgrade of Kentucky Fried Movie, I would have to grab it - even though I doubt it would be a reference-quality release. 😁
I’m looking forward all of the tiles in the video would love to get the Bruce Lee one. And I’m trying to collect all of Tarantino 4K, movies I hope on steelbook
damn! Russ haters can eat corn the long way ! Russ rules …. This channel rules ! Also, absolutely do a live stream for the 4K celebration. Keep up the great work
My prized possession is the Japanese DVD release of Kill Bill v1 which is in colour and also has a really good DTS soundtrack - I guess the 4k release is unlikely to have this cut?
Since you asked, I’m a huge Bruce Lee fan. I have the OOP Bruce Lee Legacy collection from Shout Factory, I’ve already preordered the Arrow exclusive 4K yellow box set and will definitely try to get that limited Enter the Dragon set. I’ve collected all the Tarantino 4K’s and will pick up Jackie and Bill Also will get V and Balboa too.
@@russceasetheruss5360 Game of Death is the movie that was made after he died using footage that Lee shot for an upcoming film. He’s only in it for about 15 minutes, the rest is shot using doubles and comically bad pictures of his face over someone else’s face. A good start would be Fist of Fury, not his 1st film but one of his best
Kill Bill is more commercially appealing. Jackie Brown is the better movie. That's Robert forsters' best role outside of Bud in Tim Allen's last man standing.

Kill Bill has been near the top of my list for most anticipated 4K release so this news has me very excited
Been with you since day 1, amazing job so far guys ❤
Thank you, Steve!
Hi guys, another great video. I never watch an episode without cracking up at some point a truly classic team.
Idea for your 4K special video. Matt and Russ switch seats, wardrobe and roles for the episode. Russ leads while Matt chills and adds his 2 cents while rockin a band shirt and sunglasses. Solid gold boys…
The whole bloody affair cut would be amazing! Think we will ever see it?
I think I have a better chance of getting a box set, but ill never say never!
I'll be getting Rocky V day one!!! Very fond memories of that specific one. I remember seeing it right around the same time as Home Alone in theaters.
I cannot wait to see the artwork Lionsgate comes up with for these QT titles.

Balboa was my favorite when I was a teenager, looking forward

@@Ringmaster138 Oh wow... I knew a cut existed and made small rounds at a point, but had no idea he was screening it at the New Beverly.
You guys are awesome! Hope to see you do crossover videos soon with other physical media TH-cam channels.
We would love that too!
Looking forward when you guys reach 4k subscribers!

Ferris Bueller is definitely closer to Casino. Also, Mia Sara was an absolute babe in that movie.
Fair... but Casino is just second-rate Three Amigos in most people's eyes.
And yes, Mia Sara > other John Hughes leads

Those comments about Sunglass Russ clearly don't get what makes this channel one of the best; Don't change fellas!
Jackie Brown is still Tarantino's best movie😊
I'm not mad at this statement.

Solo Rocky 5? That's dedication!
What's a solid entry point for a person who knows nothing about Bruce Lee outside of Enter the Dragon? Is it Game of Death?

@@darmok4878 See, I would have started with Game because of Kill Bill... thanks for the info, I'll check out Fist.
I am odd because I would vote Jackie Brown over Kill Bill.

The clips for Rocky 5 are tough and ruthless... the clips for Enter the Dragon are rough... and toothless...
The guy on the right sure does say a lot about movies without having seen a ton of movies.
Thanks for hanging in there boys
