Man this video brought up some weird memories and feelings. My wife was on hospital bedrest for a week leading up to our daughter being born. About 20 hours into induced labor, she asked if we could listen to some Knobs demos for the good vibes during rough and scary parts. Autoplay eventually switched us over to some of Emily's videos, and that was our introduction to this channel. Thanks, both of you, for being legends. You unknowingly helped us through a scary fucking time.
oh, wow... thank you so much for telling us!! I'm so, so glad our music was able to help you both through a scary and uncertain time... that means the world to me 🥺❤❤❤
wow!! that is some deeply special shizz right there. it's like y'all got some asmr & some soothing musics & some friends & some sweet old memories & some brand new memories & some timeless healing magick all in one youtube playlist. & you made it through!! & you lived to tell about it!! & you made a frickin' baby!! yaaaay!!
very cool to see him actually play!! the 4th wall has been broken. the curtain has dropped & the wizard of knobs has revealed himself. ;-) to see & hear these two jamming together... just way, WAY cool!! & as I'd've figured, the results are real, real good.
"Playing with Knobs" will never have the same meaning again! Thanks for introducing us to him, and as always your awesome improv humor shines through ❤️🔥
Knobs kickstarted my pedal obsession and you inspired me to try my own take on a channel. Pretty cool to see two of my influences hanging out making cool sounds together. 😍
oooh... I'm watching one of your vids now... I love the format you've got goin' here... "this into that." yeeeaah... I like that. I'm listening to MOOD into specular tempus as I type this. gonna get back to the vid now, but just wanted to say, "bravo!!" some lovely piano tinkling into two of my fave effects. you have a new subscriber, lyle. ;-)
@@doctorauxiliary Wow thanks! It's really fun seeing how different combinations play off one another. Just now I'm running Mood into Mood mk2. Excessive lol. 🥰
@@Kutomaru1that’s just your signal to take a break! If you take a break every time it hurts your fingies, within a few weeks it won’t hurt anymore because the skin grows just a little thicker 😊
It's so cool seeing the man behind the knobs. That is the channel I think of when it comes to new and interesting effects. What an awesome collaboration. 😊❤
There was something funny but really chill when y'all switched instruments and the first song played. Just simple notes on guitar while Knobs did alternate playstyles, sounded dope. Thanks for the vid!
Waaaaaaassssssssaaaaaaaappppppp!!!! Well gosh darn it if that wasn’t the best vid ever!!! Scott was my inspiration for starting my own video journey as well. Two of my absolute heros together!! What an absolute pleasure seeing you two create/laugh/reminisce together. This was extra special❤️❤️
That's THE Knobs? :O That's so wild, I always heard people talk about him, and I loved all of his cool trippy pedal videos, but I've never actually seen his face. It's super cool to learn more about him :D
Oh! Emily! It’s always such a pleasure listening to you play harp and experiment with your pedals. I always hope the music never stops and we stay in the vibe forever. Thank you so much!!! ❤❤❤
Emily Hopkins office manager. 😂😂😂 No that sounded like shit I don't do that anymore.🤣🤣🤣 If you didn't make awesome music you could do sketch comedy. I love what you all are doing here.
Once upon a time, knobs randomly commented on one of my Instagram posts. Pretty much nobody else acknowledged it at all. Doesn’t matter tho. Knobs loved it, and that’s enough.
The office manager skit was the base of a music video that first showed how she was the first harp playing stunt woman... In another timeline when the Mood was off. ❤🎉
Amazing, hilarious, inspiring! I love this video and I love both your channels. I love where you've been taking the harp, Emily, how creative and funny you are. Knobs, I love how you present pedals on your channel, I watch your pedal demos to relax and dream about the next one I'll be buying :) I finally managed to save up for a Habit and Mood II is on my list...
Hey Emily! Chase Bliss just made another sale - my Mood MKII arrives on Tuesday! Thanks for all you do to demo how the harp can make even cooler sounds!
You yelling into the harp mic and then hearing the voice gave me Ghost Adventure vibes like when they’re yelling at the ghosts to respond and then some wacky sounds come through the spirit box. I’d rather have a Mood than a spirit box any day though.
This is why I Love the Music Industry! We are a bit of far out there Nerds and Genius!! Well some of US just in our Minds😉! ONLY take in the stuff that connects to You! Through the rest Out!! I have only been playing guitar for 3 years and stumbled on your pedal demos after falling down the gear rabbit hole. I love the harp covers you have and you always make videos with such cool people, cool people and good music, What a combo! your channel is great and it sucks that people are so mean sometimes! Hope you and Russ have a good day and thank you for the videos
9:32 I thought that was a scary movie thing, but it looks like some American beer commercial may have had some hand in making people say that like that.
Scott and I have met and corresponded on multiple occasions. Nice fella, with a DRY sense of humour. Joel told me Scott is moving to Halifax. True? Big maybe? Something that was likely several months back but not now?
I learned something new today. I learnt that the Knobs Man looks just like my mate Jon. Knobs Man is this genius who drills straight into the heart of every auteur DSP pedal in seconds. I genuinely think he's the reason why there are now several microloopers! Jon likes the STANK RIFFS. Matamp and Orange and all that. I'm only saying this because I can imagine Jon and The Knobs Man enjoying an IPA together.
I discovered JHS and Beetronics thanks to you! I picked up the JHS Octave Reverb, which is completely addicting (I'm a bass player), but still saving up for a Beetronics pedal. Now JHS has revived ROSS Pedals, so I guess there's no end to the moolah I need to save up! Keep up the great work!
Knobs was a great distraction for me during the pandemic. HIs style of playing as well as his style of making videos that are not repetitive at all is unmatched. Thanks for bringing him on camera. Hey do you use Dark World pedal? He did a video on that and I bought it. Its too much for me, still learning.
Knobs video on the Mood MKII a while back is definitely responsible for me being 300 poorer in euros, but many more grains richerer in granular texturers. Thanks! It's now my favourite sound of purple, usurping the Boss Wazacraft Space Dimension.
Wait, is that *the* Mary Spender in your Patrons? I suppose it could just be someone using her name, but it also wouldn't surprise me if she were a fan of yours. She's one of my favorite TH-cam music content creators. That would be a fun collab. Also, Knobkins should absolutely be a thing, even if it does sound like a Neopet.
Very cool on so many levels! I absolutely love how important this meeting of the minds is to both of you, yet it's a chill hang with all sorts of goofing about amidst the creativity! ❤
love Knobs!! it's ASMR but for pedals and gear!!! I never knew what he looked like but he looks like a younger Paul Rudd who is aging more gracefully than the real Paul Rudd. great video!

@@Kutomaru1 that’s interesting, I have no problem with bronze string acoustics. Never really used nylons or steelies tho!
This was so much fun to watch! Knobs is an absolute legend, he's the reason why I got into pedals (specifically his Avalanche Run demo).
Casual 'this guitar has a mood in it' energy

Nothing better then two talented people and the beautiful, peaceful sounds they create.
So happy these two souls got to meet. A very beautiful experience to watch. 😇

Because he forgot to change the battery in it 😂
