Punk rock was all about picking up an instrument and playing it. We've lost that spirit.

Yvette Young is one of the most inspirational guitarists of our generation. I rarely listen to the genres she primarily plays, but her playing and songwriting is so good and creative that I'm drawn to her work against my will. She makes me want to be more creative with my songwriting.

Not all guitarists are weird about using pedals on other instruments. When I was 12 I put Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 through my Dad's Digitech multi fx. The pitch bend was insane.

to be honest I am an aspiring musician who is self teaching myself all of the instruments that I have and this video is a lot like what teaching myself guitar is like. It's very motivating for me to see this video and realize that this shit ain't easy and watching other videos where you play harp like like it's nothing, makes me realize how much farther I have to go, not only in learning how to play an instrument but how to use that instrument to make something that I am proud of.

As much as I’m laughing, I’m hurting for how true to life a lot of this is.
The slide can go on any finger you like; ring finger is the norm though. And I’d recommend starting with a cbg- half the strings, twice the fun!
