    Servicing your car only once per 2 years when you only do short distance driving is just ridiculous. The engine oil will never get to operating temperature and stay there long enough to boil off moisture and certain contaminants. But it makes sense if you don’t care about your car too much and won’t keep it for many many years. We all know that all car manufacturers now recommend ridiculously long service intervals to make it more convenient for the customer and lower ownership costs. However, engines on synthetic oil and long service intervals have been demonstrated to have more wear at say 200k than same engines on shorter service intervals.

      Good to know!
      Hopefully, things will improve with the high vaccination rates we have here & things will resume back to normalcy soon 👍🏼

    we are responsible for our own car.. because paying or not paying for service also is our responsible to take care of our car internals. i sometimes dont understand why we even pay so much for the insurance if the car parts which are not overly expensive.. HAHA !!

    Exactly in line with current guidance. As they say at Flat 6 Innovations it's more about calendar time than miles.

      Ah ok. Learnt a new term today, calendar time.
      Yup, I have been advocating calendar time based service for the past 15 years. During non pandemic times, I will service my car every 5,000km which is every 4 months as I do drive them spiritedly.

    Would you be able to run a video on Porsche macan and/or cayenne in the future? Would like to know whether there is any major difference between serving the sport car series and SUVs of Porsche.

      Hi bro, thanks for supporting my channel!
      In terms of service interval & service items, the Porsche sports car are similar to their 4 door siblings 👍🏼

    Is it comfortable to use cayman as a daily car?

    • @ThePorscheLover
      @ThePorscheLover  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I daily my Boxster and can say it is comfortable. However, if you're comparing to a sedan like the C class or 3 series, those are more comfortable.
      Porsches have always been known to be great daily sport cars relative to other brands 👍🏼
