The music here really went from a bop to utter horror real quick haha. I like all of these themes, they are perfect for that representation of the character.
Surprisingly the Terror of Mechagodzilla theme holds up surprisingly well. Still overshadowed by primarly 74' 93' and Kiryusaga but sets up a theme for the Mechagodzilla like the first 3 Godzilla eras did.

Mecha 2021 kinda shares his theme with Godzilla in this film, it’s litterally just Godzilla’s theme with a more ominous choir in the background Though for me you can argue that anything to do with Apex Cybernetics could be attributed to Mechagodzilla’s theme

The first three - the Showa, Heisei, and the Millennium - are the best because they have their own unique punch that perfectly captures their respective version’s themes. The Hollywood version is just unrecognizable gibberish and the anime version… I never knew its theme ever existed, and I’m not even regretting not knowing it.
Kiryu’s theme is a favorite of mine in much a way similar to his base design and concept, it has a lot of heroic character to it that helps Kiryu stand out among all other Mechagodzillas. He’s not just another Mechagodzilla or a Mechagodzilla 3, he’s Kiryu. But while he’s my favorite MechaG, in terms of raw love for the sound of the theme, 4:10 I think Heisei can take that honor for my most favorite.
Show mecha goji's first song sounds sounds very jazzy and groovy all of a sudden, pretty much fits with the goofy and funny show's in the showa era (Not incuding 1954 and 1955's godzilla raids again of course)
They're still rightfully placed for what the mechs represent in the stories being told. In 93, Godzilla is painted as this sympathetic animal just trying to get it's son back, and SMG is painted as mankind not learning from their mistakes and building another weapon of cold, heartless mass destruction. There's humans piloting the mech and yet even they feel cold and unfeeling during the final battle. Meanwhile in 02, Godzilla is the mindless animal of destruction, and Kiryu and the pilots are painted as these spry underdogs only trying to protect their home. If you gave 93 the 02 theme, you would feel way less sympathetic for Godzilla because SMG would be painted in the obvious light of a hero, but they wanted that uncertain nuance of "who am I supposed to be rooting for?" But I get where you're coming from with Kiryu being haunted and all

Godzilla has never really given a shit about humanity so when he gets hungry he will take the shortest path to the nuclear power plants no matter if he must plow through cities to get there.

Well i think the movie did a great job of replacing kiryu from the books to a modern godzilla-ish mecha. But kiryu doesnt fit in a plot where a greedy guy uses him to fight. Kiryu was created to protect humanity not pander to corparate greed and it's fine. But the music tho, well yeah they used godzilla's theme due to the pacing, i think heisei's theme would have been perfect but they did a better job then monsterverse's composer from GvK and GxK NE. Mecha doesnt even have his own theme in GvK, godzilla's theme isnt playing. And the composer calls toho godzilla soundtrack as "old fashioned".
As much as I like serious music, for any baddy, the first one is obscenely awesome. It's not too serious or spooky, but unholy moly, is it perfect for dunking on heroes to. I don't know how it would fit in a serious, post modern Godzilla movie, but I'd love to see it return.

1. The title says this is all Mechagodzilla music from Films. Not shows. Films.
2. Cybergodzilla isn't Mechagodzilla, as he is a separate character and is not under the Mechagodzilla character trademark.

cybergodzilla was created when tristar still had the rights to make shows and merchandise under the godzilla name, they lost the rights in 2003, and gozilla the animated series went on from 1998 - 2000, so by that logic, zilla jr is technically an incarnation of godzilla jr, and cybergodzilla is technically an incarnation of mechagodzilla, despite not being under those trademarks.
@@chasehodgmo5537 Technically and officially are two different things, Cybergodzilla is still not copyrighted under the Mechagodzilla name, so therefore, he isn't recognized as a Mechagodzilla. He's his own separate thing that was created with obvious Mechagodzilla inspiration.
Why not call him "Cyborgodzilla" instead of "Cyberzilla"?
