I'm moving to Sydney from Karachi for the first time on 476 visa, would you recommend me coming to Darwin or any other city? For better earning and PR chances aswell.
Darwin and Perth are highly recommended cities for engineering jobs, please do your own research as well before taking any decision.

Adelaide would be better, Darwin has social issues. Perth is nice too but Adelaide more multicultural and Victoria, regional Victoria area are accepting of new non white migrants.

Before moving to Australia, consider that it's VERY VERY expensive to rent here. Flats, units, apartments, even in small towns are MUCH more expensive that most places in the USA.
And unless you speak perfect English you can't get a normal job doing anything other than Restaurant or labour hire work...
