Context: This cinematic is described as the "Past, Present, and Possible Futures" and if you noticed between each transition, there is very small image of Kindred as she comes to claim each soul's life, in the fire when Morgana burns Aatrox and her eyes in the faint woods as Yasuo accepts his death with the arrow being shot at him The first two characters you see (the angels) are Morgana (Purple Wings), and Kayle (White Wings) the twin Aspects of Justice. They're also sisters wielding two halves of their mother's blade (their mother was the previous Aspect of Justice). That scene takes place in the past of what we know of the lore right now, during a siege on a kingdom called Demacia, which happened in ancient times. To be an Aspect is kind of like being an avatar for a god. The person they're fighting is Aatrox, who, at one point, was also kind of an avatar for godly powers, but was corrupted by blood magic, and effectively "cursed" to never die. He now seeks the destruction of all existence in the hopes that he could finally rest. The last bit of the scene seems to be meant to show the differences in Kayle and Morgana's personalities. Morgana will sink to any low she needs to in order to do what is right, whereas Kayle sees herself above it all, looking at her position as an Aspect as far more important than it possibly is. Since this is the past, this is technically before Kayle and Morganna split and go separate ways on deciding how to deal Justice. But you can definitely tell Kayle is now mad at Morganna for using magic and two, throwing down there's mother sword. The second scene is of the future, in a small village in a land called Ionia. The old samurai is a character by the name of Yasuo, a master of a powerful wind technique. He's had a life of disgrace, and hardship, failing to save his master who taught him the wind technique, being blamed for his death, and then having to kill his own brother who hunted him down. Clearly, when he grows old, he finds a place in the small village, and lives there in peace until it's attacked, prompting him to take up a sword in defense of the people. The scene is pretty self-explanatory, but it's a very strong moment for League of Legends fans for sure. The final scene is my favorite. The whole video starts with the line "Tomorrow is a hope. Never a promise." This line is spoken by Lamb, one half of the character known as The Kindred. The Kindred serve as the Grim Reaper of the world of League of Legends. The story goes that Death was so lonely that it split itself in two, so it would "always have a friend". One half is the Lamb, and the other half is the Wolf. Lamb represents the peace in acceptance of death, wielding a bow to deliver a swift end, and Wolf represents the violence of rejecting and running from death, being literally a beast that mauls anything that tries to escape. You only see them when they've decided your time has come. The character we zoom in on at the end is Tryndamere, a barbarian king of the Freljord (Frel-yord). At the very beginning, he seems to be in a battle for his life against surrounding forces. When we reach the end, his vision shifts to a darker scene, and the image of the Kindred come into his view. Wolf is on the offensive, because Tryndamere is trying to fight for his life. Lamb tries to deliver shots that will end him quickly, but it seems Lamb is surprised to see that Tryndamere has a power that lets him avoid death for a short time (which is what the red in his eyes means) (If I am correct based off lore, he is infused with blood magic which technically allows him to become immortal when on the brink of death). It catches them off guard and lets Tryndamere almost get a blow in. While Wolf attempts to maul him, Lamb tries to go for one final strike, when Ashe, the frost archer, and wife of Tryndamere, arrives and kills two of the men that were attacking him. The Kindred and their darkness fade away, indicating that Ashe's arrival has saved Tryndamere from the Kindred's hunt, and the death he was destined for. As more forces move in against them, Ashe fires a hawk shot into the air to signal their position and call for reinforcements.
its still unknown why Kindred titled her head, cause she would have fought Tryndamere more often in the past because of his blood curse that he got from Aatrox.
@@trytorangthere's actually around 9ish (last time i checked) interpretations of what Lamb's head tilt was but, based on circumstance it's almost guaranteed to be curiosity. Kindred has no recognition for the souls they shepherd aside from whether or not those souls accept a peaceful death or run away from death. so Lamb views Tryndamere's refusal of her peaceful death and Wolf's chase as an oddity, even if she had technically fought him before. side note: it's believed that this battle is exclusively in Tryndamere's mind, and is only meant to be a representation of the actual fight going on around him. The fight is likely more allegorical than it is literal.
The last scene is a little confusing for people who don't have a decent grasp of who each character is. It's kind of metaphorical, whereas the other two are easier to follow. The easy explanation is that the Lamb and the Wolf (or Kindred) are the Grim Reaper of this world. Tryndamere (the jacked up guy) has the ability to basically make himself immortal for short bursts of time, but it also makes him so angry that he doesn't have a good grasp of what's happening around him. In that scene, he was actually fighting the group of enemies that had injured him at the very beginning of the cinematic, but what he sees is the Grim Reaper (Lamb and Wolf), because he's literally fighting off what would be a certain death without his immortality. At the end of the scene, his wife, Ashe, approaches and kills the last two enemies, causing the Reaper to stop attacking. That's why the Lamb lowers her bow and disappears. She knows it's no longer their moment to claim him.
Fun fact: there are more than 150 characters in League of Legends! Necrit is absolutely right, this cinematic is a love letter to the lore community. I learned everything from Necrit's video, and lose my mind when I watched this cinematic. LOVE this so much!
The big guy with the hearthbeating sword is called Aatrox who is a fallen god worrior of ancient shurima (shurima was an empire) and he is currently stuck inside that sword. He was sealed there to suffer for all eternity but when a living being touches the sword Aatrox takes control over them and reshapes their body with blood magic then starts to murder every living being around him to build himself larger and stronger bet he has no other choice because if he stops the killing his body will decay and he will return to the sword and suffer until he finds another host. So its his hearthbeat inside the sword and that sword is impossable to destroy even he cant end his own life. I really recommend reading his lore theres more interesting stuff in there
The cinematic is about The Past, The Present and The Future. The Past is of Kayle and Morgana, before they decided to go their separate ways of dealing with justice. (Morgana and Kayle lore is amazing btw). It also explains how Aatrox already knows them despite not knowing Demacia itself, simply cuz at the time this happened Demacia wasn't Demacia yet. The Future is of Yasuo, fighting one last time when lonia got invaded again and at the end Kindred kills him while Yasuo accepting the arrow of the Lamb. The Present is of Tryndamere, and his non acceptance of death, both by the Wolf and the Lamb, due to his partial anger fueled blood magic. Every time he ults (undying rage) he sees the actual death - Kindred, instead of his enemies.
O Rosto da Kayle para. A Morgana de Desaprovação e Impecável chego a ficar com calafrios, fico tão feliz em saber que meu dinheiro foi bem investido 😢 incrível RIOT 🎉🎉
The tword had heartbeat, because the actual being is trapped in the sword. The body is just some random dude taken hostage. Short version is Ascended God Warriors were corrupted by blood magic and became know as the Darkin, so aspect of twilight helped people trap them in the weapons. If im not mistaking we know about 13 Darkins in the Lore which of 4 are playable in League itself. And fun fact, This Darkin we see here is the only being in existance that managed to kill a celestial god.

Very nice explanation, bro!
Morganna binds him kayle burns aatrox
Thank you for the explanation. I've learned a lot of information from this.

Watch "The Lore of "Still Here" Cinematic Explained" by Necrit, he explains everything that happened in the cinematic. Cool reaction btw.
Yes yes yes
bro ive been commenting that on EVERY reaction and there is like 2 reaction for Necrit

the white archer and black wolf are this worlds depictions of death (grim reaper). both the peacefull acceptance and the violent struggle to survive.
2WEI (zwei) pronounced as something like "tsvai", it's a German word for "two".
O Rosto da Kayle para. A Morgana de Desaprovação e Impecável chego a ficar com calafrios, fico tão feliz em saber que meu dinheiro foi bem investido 😢 incrível RIOT 🎉🎉
Now, thou art blessed to see the beating blade of Aatrox.

Funny you mention the sword has a heartbeat considering thats where Aatrox's soul is
YEEEEEY you reacted to this
Zwei is 2 in German. He just changes the Z with a 2 so I guess the pronunciation would still be Zwei.
it's all keyframed, no motion capture
