Subscribed for sure. I have a 46 2N I bought at an auction for $280 back in 2020. We got it running and used it on our place for all the dirt work for our shop and house. They’re addicting - more seemed to follow me home somehow 🤣 i wouldn’t trade that tractor for anything. Going through it taught me more than I could ever ask for.
Nabbed me my own '47 2N & getting ready to do a rad flush/clean, check the compression, and top of it off with an oil change. Appreciate the knowledge. Take care.
I am bringing back to life my grandfathers 2n. The drain plug should have a screen on it. You can buy a new plug and gasket with the screen fairly cheap online
10 4 man that makes since...I can't thank you enough for your view and taking the time to comment....been working on building a boom pole for the tractor...maybe ill have the video out soon...kids and life kinda slow the progress 😁
Cotter pin is to keep the wheel while free of dirt and debris. If the input shaft starts leaking, it doesn’t fill up and soak the clutch. Gives a place for the oil to drain if it gets in there.
Change hydraulic oil every year and check rubber shifter boot will let rain water into trans and destroy lower brging and gears Best to keep it covered and drain all fluids every year including hub on axles

Ok I'll check into it and I sure appreciate your view and comment
The cotter pin is in case the rear seal on the engine leaks, the oil will drip out instead of pooling up causing the clutch to slip.

I was told the cotter pin in the bottom of the housing is there to prevent the hole from plugging up with dirt, as it jiggles around.
Lol I honestly didn't know.... thanks for your view and comment
