The map used for this video is a modified version of the map used in "AIBattle"s channel, found here: • Civ 5 AI Only Timelaps... . I have notably edited in an "ocean" in the middle to preserve the advantage of naval civs + reworked several strategic goods and limited the food from grasslands by changing them into plains.
*Byzantium not included as Istanbul (Turkey's Capital) is the same city in real life and would be confusing. Also I needed to sacrifice a civilization to observe this AI match as a spectator (note the submarine in the bottom of the mini map!). We already have Rome and Istanbul - sorry, Byzantium, but if we wanted to see a Hellenized Rome we literally could just watch Greece instead.

Was rooting for Japan but then they just sat there for half the game when they had the power to conquer someone lmao
I wanted to slap Nobunaga when he not only wasted the largest army advantage of the game but also didn't upgrade his samurai - even in the 2000's! Samurai vs tanks? Morocco kicked his teeth in lmao
He even enclaved Arabia
Yeah that bothered me. I wanted him to do well, but when Morocco started beating him I thought he deserved it. Not taking Mecca was also bizarre.
download the community patch mod, it makes the AI smarter so they don't do shit like that.

AlzaboHD I don’t see byzantium
I had to have Byzantium serve as the submarine watch for this AI Deathmatch unfortunately. I tried to substitute a modded civ for the 44th civilization but the game crashed everytime, something do with the DLL file conflicting with the YNAEMP mod files.

Before I even started the vid I had my money of the shoshone... oh well at least i was pretty close!
SMH I was so hype in the first half of the game because for once the US wasn’t fucking up and took multiple cities.
I started getting nervous when I saw how few units they had but I figured they’d be building lots of units to fill up the new space they acquired but nooOOOPE. In comes the Shoshone to destroy my dreams of an actually good USA civ.
Rome was first to conquer a city, and then survived an attack from Egypt. But then it stopped building units, (probably wonder-whoring) and Egypt cam back.
Eeeeeeek Korea had the most advanced tech but didn't use it... I feel so bad :(
Really thought Venice would pull it out this time :(
Props to the Arab ai being surrounded the whole game and the Vikings being exiled

Byzantium is on submarine duty in this timelapse, unfortunately. I tried to make a custom civilization take the place of a spectator submarine but the game crashed to desktop every time I attempted it (must have something to do with the 43 playable civ mod). Byzantium will return in the next timelapse, don't worry!
AlzaboHD there is a 60 civ mod tho so you can play with 44 civs

I think Atilla benefited from being in the corner and expanding super early by using their battering rams. Yes - I will be updated the Civ AI series each sunday and am happy to return to the roots of the channel! Thanks for watching Chris!
