The developer was kind enough to reach out and talk about their game with us back in June and I’m only now getting around to putting a video together for it lol. It’s obviously pretty early Alpha but it was still a treat to play. With the gunplay alone I’m really looking forward to where this ends up going and would love to revisit it down the line!
Every time SCP 5K is brought up, I will continue to reference my favorite bit from it, where one of the surviving groups (Broken God) manages to get the internet back online and the Evil Foundation's response is to flood it with memes so toxic they cause your brain to literally vanish. (I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea)

Probably my favorite part of this game is that you play as UNGOC operatives. So many of these games are focused on the Foundation and maybe the Chaos Insurgency. So it's nice to have some variety and explore some other parts of the world. Edit: As some have pointed out, the patchs are of the UIU. Seems a little strange to send a branch of the FBI to infiltrate a facility belonging to a group that has declared their intent to wipe out the human race. However the spirit of my point still stands.
Yeah, but its weird. None of the characters have a GOC patch, but they have UIU patches. Maybe model was already done for another level? Who knows. I just hope we get a Russian incident with a revitalized GRU-P headed up by formers

Now I can only think of a snatch-n-grab game mode from this. three or four teams of 4, different factions, like the GOC, Serpents Hand, etc. on a randomly generated layout of rooms and hallways, trying to get x amount of intel before extraction. Obviously among the chaos of random SCP's and madness.

I love the scp foudation lore, its sometimes the most random shit in the world like "while passing through sector 12, do not aim your gun a any foundation personal, it will shoot it self" "Do not aproach the meat ball after the offering has been made" "If you see a painting, do not make eye contact"
I just saw Operator Drewski's video on this, and the game is great! I cannot wait to see how chaotic and insane you make this experience with SCP-5000 in comparison to his team's precision and professionalism.
I'm actually impressed an Ignis Op was successful! In all seriousness, so glaf to see more of big channels covering this awesome game. So much cool stuff even at this point in early access!

I've been playing this game, recently, for an early access game. This is straight fire. I'm glad to see people like Rubix give it some attention, also side note, the achievement "are you not entertained?" Takes about 1h and 30 mins as a duo, but isn't hard, just tedious so far
@louisianaman2025 it's Dave, lol, but yes, finding daves family is really funny. Also, my friend and I have high-end p.cs, and we also had lag. Optimisation is needed but still pretty dope so far
Although it would really be amazing to see one of the SCP games to include some sort of sarkic anomalies. Thats where the real scary body horror comes from.

I've been sporadically following this game after watching a video about it on JackFrag's channel a couple months ago, good to see Jay making a video on it because it definitely seems right up his alley
If that's the game I remember playing over a year ago or so, it has really come a long way. Back then it had quirky features, such has silencers randomly materializing and disappearing from your gun. Falling through the floor into an endless void, not dying but starting to spawn clones of yourself. Spawning clones of yourself upon respawning. Respawning in the void. Things making sounds that they really shouldn't make when shooting them. And while all of that sounds really haha funny SCP anomaly, it really wasn't and seems to run much better...
To quote an commentary from the SCP 5k video from the best SCP channel "The GOC be like:'we we're bad, but now we're good, we are moving into your neighborhood"'

The SCP foundation doesn't poorly maintain their nukes, they use only the highest quality safety screwdrivers to keep the two hemispheres apart.
You forgot the #1 rule of SCP safety standards: If it cant open a locked drawer, its contained. And those nukes cant open drawers.

The game reminds me of L4D2, it’s the way the creatures runs towards them, the way they are put down, and that there are 4 playable people.

They aren't the GOC anymore you are now the UIU. And the game now takes place in scp 5000s story or a parallel story similar to 5000.
I like when the GOC gets mentioned anywhere. It’s often just contain the SCPs etc, in most games and videos. Having a GOC perspective is really cool.

That design on the digital threat was really damn neat. The fidelity on all of this was way up form what I had been expecting over all.
Honestly the 3 shots at the end was very indicative of the true SCP experience.
