FYI . It is called a Bull PUP not Bull PUMP. Also, you should try shooting at least OO Buck. Slugs do not fit every application and aren't always the best for home defense, its actually pretty easy to miss with a slug in any stressful or close situation. 00 Buck defense rounds are great because they still pack a devastating hit and also send out pellets in a group that expands over distance so you have a much better chance of of hitting your target within a reasonable amount of distance. The further the target is away the further the pellet grouping will spread apart decreasing your chances for a much more effective shot, although you still may land some pallets on target which will still hurt like hell and is still deadly. With a slug if you miss, you miss. I keep both Slugs and 00 Buck loaded. Plus 00 buck is more controllable and easier on the shoulder than just shooting slugs all the time.
Bought ours as a ride along. Fits nicely under a coat as well. First few mags had failed extractions but once broken in we've had no issues with function. Put over 600 rds thru it and it performs very well with one hitch. Don't fan your shots . This weapon doesn't do well at a high cyclic rate. But then it's a shotgun not an AR. Overall an excellent choice for at home or on the go security. Have fun but stay safe and remain proficient.
Amen it’s the ammo u use I got the same gun no problems except the hornady slugs it jams them but I use different brand slugs and works fine. Buck shot it’s super smooth
Hey G, I have to say your setup using a 20rd drum with slugs and a laser is beastly,. The sight of that thing and then a laser clicks on lol. I have a KSG12 with a similar setup as yours. I ditched the flashlight because it just makes you a target unless you get the jump and turn it on. I added a red dot with the laser. Enough of my bs. I got a question for you. I am wanting to buy a GFY-1 and you have had yours for 2 years. What are your honest thoughts on the gun now 2 years later? have you put over 2000rd through it yet? I want to buy it now but thought I would ask a few reviewers that I liked. Understand if you don't reply back because life is busy.

This gun will eat ammo all day long, just make sure the velocity is 1350 or higher. Any less and the cartfidge will not eject fast enough and get caught up. I have put 500+ through mine with various ammo and anything less that 1350 causes issues. Dang gun makes me laugh every time I shoot it, it is so much fun.

Ik you said you only have used ur specific brand but if you know what black aces tactical slugs are would you say 1oz, 2 3/4” shells are okay to use in this gun?
By the looks of it, those Winchesters you have are "Rifled" slugs, which are made for smooth bore barrels, which is what you have, so those are fine for the Bullpup. Shooting those thru a rifled barrel will ruining the rifling of the barrel. Sabot (smooth) slugs should be shot out of a rifled barrel. (Notice your American whitetail round say right on the box "for rifled barrels", so shooting those out of the GFY-1 probably wouldn't do damage to the gun, but they are probably extremely inaccurate and tumbling thru the air because there is no rifling in the barrel to spin them, hence why it just blew thru the target like an "X". My guess is it hit sideways
Now why would that be for space batteries when the firearm doesn’t come with anything on it from dealer that requires batteries?? That compartment is for a extra shell if you have the same firearm you would know what I’m saying is 100% facts
@@12gaugeg64 They figured people would put a lazer or light on and like with other platforms the battery will go dead at the worst possible time. I'm holding mine right now 100% opinion. Holding one shell when it comes with two five round mags. The intended purpose is spare batteries not one round but there is enough space for one round.
Bull pups use high velocity ammo and arent made for cheap ammo. I have a Landor Bullpup and it’s never jammed the jamming is caused by cheap ammo with low velocity it’s gas operated and needs to eat premium shells they also need to be broke in right being semi automatic shotguns. The gas that is created from the discharge of the primer helps eject gas operated weapons so better quality brass and copper and stronger ammo it is made for. #IT DONT NEED TO EAT ANYTHING WEAK 1500 1600 FPS or Better shid 2000 FPS if ya can get it.
I don’t change it out to be real with you I leave the same one that’s already on it. Haven’t had any issues with it. Dirty well that just depends on how much you really use it to be honest I used it a lot but it doesn’t really get that dirty but however I clean it after because I put alot of shells threw it
How tf you put a slug in the handle compartment? I call bullshit I have the exact same one with exact same grip just the bronze flag one and a round don’t fit in my handle.
@@se7en13htx no problem yes you can change the choke to whatever type of ammo you will be using. The choke that comes in it already works fine as well it’s a universal I just left mine like it is for what I’ve been shooting slugs

It’ll work just fine even shoots 3’ slugs with no problem

Yes there’s many options you can choose from. I prefer not to have a grip handle on mine because I still have space to grip it with my laser on it
