Love that you are doing watercolors the old fashioned way again. They are lovely!

Aw, thanks so much! I love playing around with real paints again. Plus I'm finally using up some of my considerable stockpile of paints! 😬

Alice! I'm glad you're feeling better and you're doing so much art. The Sketcherfest looked really cool!
I was just at the coast and I tried to paint a sunset plein air, and it was so hard! The light kept changing and my paper wasn't drying as fast as i wanted. But i definitely want to try again!
As always thanks for sharing a lovely video. Take care!

Thanks Amy! It's been so nice making art in a more relaxed way. I haven't actually tried painting en plein air yet, I'm working my way up to it! I have the same problem with paint drying too slowly sometimes. I usually blame the paper...or the weather! 😅 Have you tried using Arches watercolor paper? It's really the gold standard.

Great paintings, what kind of brush do you use? Charming video, thank you!

Thank you! For these paintings, I mostly used a No. 10 Round Synthetic Sablette brush by Utrecht. I also used a No 2 brush by Princeton for details. I'll try to show my brushes in a future video!
