What is the thic😅of the felt paper which you have used ?
Hello! I'd recommend using felt that's at least 1mm thick for best results! Hope that answers your question!
I love this ! Im all about making my own ! Where did you find those little cosmetic pans ?lovely day !
Awesome, it’s a fun little project! I got the pans off Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B08PZ69JNP.
@alicechuart ahhh yes ! You came through !! Thank you thank you
THANK YOU FOR SHARING. !!!!i finally know the use of the other liquify options
Haha, you're very welcome, glad I could shed some light on the liquify tools!
This is so helpful! I have an Indesign question, when I go to make the guides like you do, the numbers don’t show up. I tried making 4 guide boxes and placing my art in there but I’m getting a little white on the right side of my artwork. I made sure there is 0 margin. Do you know how I can have the numbers show on my guides? Thank you ❤
Sure thing! To see the numbers, make sure to turn on your rulers by pressing Ctrl/Cmd + R. I also recommend turning on Snap to Guides under View > Grids & Guides.
Great video, thank you so much
You’re very welcome, hope you try making one yourself!
Would love to see a more detailed calendar video 😊 Do you mind sharing what punch you use for the top part. Also what are the wire hanging hooks called? I have tried searching for these but unable to find them. Thank you.
Sure! The punch is called a half-moon punch, mine is from a brand called Akiles. The hooks are called wire calendar hangers, you can purchase them online from specialty companies like Lamination Depot. Hope that helps!
Really helpful thank you 😊
Your art is amazing! Thank you for these tips! ^^
Thanks so much, happy to share! 💕
That’s my favorite pen too!🪄 it’s so easy🖤
Do you mean the Studio Pen? It’s my go-to! 🤗
@@alicechuart yes
Nice video ! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you!
Loved your experiments. Subscribed
Thank you, appreciate the sub! 😊
I'll have to try this out
I still use mine all the time, it's super handy! I'd recommend rubber cement or magnets instead of hot glue to hold the pans in place.
4:00 It's mostly a population density thing. The USA has a population of 340 million people, but to have a population density equal to Japan (125 million people) the USA would need over 6 billion people. Lots of things, from high end crafting culture to high speed trains, only work if you have people packed in like sardines.
That's true, though I do think there is a cultural component as well.
I'm apparently a bit late here! But your videos are by far the best I've seen in terms of digital watercolour! You speak through it all in a really easy to follow way too and it was super educational :) Thank you for sharing all your insights! Really hope to see more soon! :)
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement, I appreciate it! I do hope to make more videos like this in the future.
I know a lot about procreate, but you taught me a few things! Thank you!
Glad to hear it! 😊
I love the set up. The tin is the cutest ❤
Thank you! I’ve collected a few more tins since. ☺️
Thank you SO much for the bonus tip! I spent hours a few days ago searching online to figure out how to lock my Procreate screen so I could trace something. I was not successful, so I gave up. Thanks to you, problem solved.
Yay, glad I could help! I use that one a lot myself! ☺️
Alice your videos are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your process with us, it was perfect ❤
Thanks so much for the kind words, it made my day! 😘
So helpful. Thanks!
what is your ipad?
It’s a 12.9” 3rd generation iPad Pro.
Hi, what brush was used for the beach illustration? :)
Hi, I mostly used default Procreate brushes that I customized. You can grab my free watercolor brush pack here: chualice.gumroad.com/l/willa
I’m wondering if you use 12.9 or 11’ size Ipad?
I am using a 12.9” 3rd generation iPad Pro. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the fab tips, especially the guided access as I’ve been searching around for a way to freeze the screen for ages
Glad I could help! Turns out the iPad makes a pretty good light table for tracing. 😂
This is very helpful! Thank you! Btw your art style is adorable 💕
Aw, thanks very much! Glad it was helpful to you!
Wow, I’ve used procreate for years and I didn’t know about some of these! Thank you so much ❤
Yay! I learned most of these shortcuts after doing it the hard way for a long time, so I’m happy to share! 😄
Thank you so much! You showed a few hacks I had not known yet ☺️ and you explained it very well too!❤
Awesome! It took me a while to figure out some of these hacks myself, so happy to help!
You are so talented!!!
Thank you, that’s very kind!
Amazing tips! Thank you so much for sharing ❤
You're very welcome!
For the color palette from an image; You can just drag an image into the color palette and it will work. This was very clear and helpful. Thank you!
@@Krysy I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing an easier way! Glad the video was helpful!
seedy joann's haha, that about sums it up. the totoro layered scene was gifted to us by ping from her trip! took 1 child and 2 adults to put together.
I wish we had nice craft stores here in the US! I went to Michael's recently and it was no better. 😭 I was really tempted to buy the Totoro paper craft, glad Ping got it for you!
THIS IS AN AMAZING VIDEO I DIDNT KNOW ANY OF THESE TIPS 😭😭 thank you 🙏
Haha, you're very welcome, glad you found these tips helpful!
An informative video has finally come across my home! Hahah
Yay, glad this video found its way to you!
Thank you for this tutorial and for the brushes! I really enjoyed your video!
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Not all of those brushes were in the free pack. 😢
Hello! Let me know what brushes you are looking for, I might have used some stock Procreate brushes without any customization and didn't include those.
いいね👍️素晴らしい😊日本🇯🇵から
ありがとう!
I love this I did something similar with some Crayola paints I got at Dollar tree but I put magnets on the back of them that way I can change them out and when paint is all gone I'm going to reuse it as a watercolor using other paint
That's a great idea! I might try magnets next time too, I like the idea of being able to swap them out!
👍🏻 what is the name of the clip with magnet that is used?
If you search for “magnetic clip” you should find something similar! You might also try a stationery or office supply store.
Dollar tree has a I believe 2Pac of the bulldog clips with the magnet on the back of it I use that for mine
This was so helpful, thank you! What was the epoxy used for specifically?
I'm glad it was helpful! I used epoxy spray paint to coat the mixing wells. The epoxy helps the paint bond to the metal surface but you could try other types of paint as well!
Everything looks fantastic! I can't wait to visit someday. Did you check out any Japanese art supplies?
You should absolutely visit! I didn't visit any art stores since I have such a huge stockpile of art supplies already, but it would have been fun to browse. Dangerous, but fun! 😄
Wonder if for the mixing area you can use MATTE waterproof sticker sheets
Yes, you can try that! Acrylic paint might work too if you would like to avoid spray paint.
Hi Alice! The calendar looks fantastic!! And you make the urban sketching look so easy! Great video as always
Thanks for the kind words, as always! Glad to be getting back into the swing of things!
Welcome back from hibernation!
Haha, thank you!
best diy watercolor palette ❤ thank you
the french knot really "ties" (haha) it all together!
Lol, it really does! It's a great stitch to know.
When my daughter was in 3rd grade she made felt ornaments for her classmates for Valentines Day. They were simple felt circles, blanket stitched together, with a contrasting felt heart blanket stitched to one side. They had a loop for hanging made from embroidery floss. I wish I had asked her to make one for me
That’s so sweet! Maybe you could ask her to make one for you now, or you could make one for her. ☺️
These would make such great gifts too!
Totally! They would be real keepsakes!
So cute - I bet they'd work well as patches too! I'd love to see a video of iPad/Procreate shortcuts, that a11y one looks really useful :D
Thanks! I’ve been meaning to make another procreate video, that’s a great idea, will add to the list!
These look so pretty and festive!
Thanks! I recently rediscovered my love of making things out of felt!
I wish someone would gift me this😢😢😢
Aww! You can always make one for yourself. 😊
whats the name of the pouch you used? i would love to give that as a gift
The zippered pouch is from Daiso!
