Quite possibly the best written female character in video game history. We all wish we had some annoying, yet infectiously cheerful, tomboy childhood friend to pull us out of crushing depression.
Estelle is the best written female main character of any fictional media I've ever seen. Much better than flat girl boss supposed to be 'badass' main character like Lightning (FF XIII), Rey (Star Wars), or Captain Marvel. She is infectious, with funny and hilarious personality (but not annoying like Forspoken MC), she can hold her own in a battle, but there's more to it, she can fall in love like teenager girl as well and be depressed when she got "cucked" at the end of FC. As MC duo with Joshua in the sky FC and SC, she can hold her own against Ouroboros but she aren't all powerful like many "girlboss" MC in modern movies, sometimes she need Joshua or the others to help her too (and not make Joshua the weaker and imbecile ones to make her shines).

Her honest and kind personality that clashes with her hotheaded personality many times results in unintentional comedy, like how she gave a legit advice to duke dunan or how she apologized for the ruckus right before the race in Crossbell Like, you have to be a really miserable person to actually hate her lmao
No because actually I would die for little Estelle. Her bringing back bugs for Joshua was the cutest darn thing! She was so appalled when he didn't want any bugs 😭🙏 Her absolutely BODYSLAMMING Joshua into the water with her made me laugh SKFJKSS. The way they juet stand there to. Her little angry face as she says "then I won't have any dinner and that would SUCK" is such a little kid thing and I love it.
Trails series got some same characters name, like how lloyd bannings mentioned by estelle he got same first name as someone from liberl fisherman guild.
@@alfianardiansyah6663 Oh, I know there are some names across the different series of games in the Trails franchise. But at 11:15 or so you have Tio there with blue hair, and at 43:13 it's black. Usually they have unique names inside the same game so I just thought this was unusual :) I'm assuming these are the same character.
@@nicogalax Nope. Tio Plato was introduced in the Crossbell series. The Tio in this video is a friend of Estelle. Yet she appears twice and with different hair colours ^^ Maybe she was just going through a phase ^^
In a vacuum, I can totally understand this sentiment. At any given moment, Estelle is very tropish and doesn't seem all that interesting. It is the development of her character, how unapologetically the writers lean into all her tropes to the point where she becomes something greater than the sum of her parts (yet still remains a very believable and flawed human), how unyielding and bold *she* is (which to be fair, means a lot more in Japanese culture than American culture), and of course, her level of brutal honesty (even about herself) and snark. For me, I particularly loved how the writers pushed the boundaries of her character to such great effect to really punctuate the story. When she finally "breaks" in the second game, it was a moment that really meant something because of how strongly the writers had established her unbreakable nature.

It's probably a fool's errand, but there's so much negativity everywhere that I'm just trying to do my part to get back to a world where we can all have different opinions, yet we stay respectful and try to walk a mile in each other's shoes, and we all still hang out together at the end of the day even if we disagree.
