  • This video is designed for Edexcel IGCSE Biology 9-1 4Bi1 but will be suitable for most GCSE courses as well. It covers the following objectives.
    2.27 Describe the structure and function of the human alimentary canal, including the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine (duodenum and ileum), large intestine (colon and rectum) and pancreas.
    2.28 Understand how food is moved through the gut by peristalsis.
    2.29 Understand the role of digestive enzymes, including the digestion of starch to glucose by amylase and maltase, the digestion of proteins to amino acids by proteases and the digestion of lipids to fatty acids and glycerol by lipases.
    2.30 Understand that bile is produced by the liver and stored in the gall bladder.
    2.31 Understand the role of bile in neutralising stomach acid and emulsifying lipids.
    2.32 Understand how the small intestine is adapted for absorption, including the structure of a villus.
    2.33B Practical: investigate the energy content in a food sample.

    This is the first time I've come across your channel. My trials are in March and my head's all over the place. I was doing a biology past paper and couldn't understand the alimentary canal. That's how I found this video. Thank you so much sir for this video. I've subscribed and I'm looking forward to learning more from you. It's really disappointing that there aren't many viewers and people who are aware of your channel. The video and the editing is amazing. The information is easily understood and I'm loving your content! I hope your channel grows!!

    Hey man, although you're producing very high quality content, the marketing of them is quite poor. I am not saying the quality of the production of your videos is bad AT ALL, but it saddens me to see such effort put in without that much viewership from the audience. A simple solution, although small one for now is to classify and try and be more precise with your titles, specifying your target audience, as the digestive system can be explained to KS3 students in very little detail, or biology undergrads.
    Again great videos and you should definitely keep doing them, just be more precise about your target audience. ( There are some other things that could be changed to easily boost your success- thumbnails, tags, descriptions that include as many key words, etc. however the title needs to be nailed, as I know that when I look for videos, if I don't see A2 or A level I generally don't click on them)
    Again thanks a lot for taking the time to do these and I hope to see you more successful soon :)

    • @MrExhambio
      @MrExhambio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The stomach lining is essentially acid proof, if it comes up your oesophagus when you’re sick it burns. The bike neutralises the acid when it comes out of the stomach into the duodenum
