That boarding agent needs to go through some training. You greeted her and she just took the boarding pass over without greeting back. And then handed back to you without even reading back your name to greet you or eye contact. Man they need some work done lol
18:26, Asiana airlines does not fly the A380 to Hong Kong. It only flies the A330 to Hong Kong. The A380 only flies to Bangkok and Los Angeles. You should try Asiana airlines because it has the best looking livery and it's nice and awesome. I flew Asiana airlines twice in 2016 from Manila to Honolulu via Seoul, but this time on a A330 and it's nice and awesome.
I flew Changi-Haneda last month with ANA. Never a really wonderful flight when you're in economy, but the flight was very tolerable, especially since nobody was sitting next to me.

As a local in Singapore you are being too kind. SQ has dropped her premium standards so much I ain't flying them anymore unless it's a business trip. I've always loved the service on Japanese airlines and the food is always so nicely presented. Bonus to have all 3 seats to yourself. Also, that legroom was amazing!
Penang and a few towns/cities in Malaysia have heavy Melakan infrastructure and cultures and it's quite interesting and different to Singapore and KL :)
It is also traditionally a low season now. Plus I caught this 6am flight to NRT which mainly caters for transit to North America haha. Many passengers on my flight went through the transit security with me. They do have two other flights to Haneda which depart at a better time if you’re ending your trip in Tokyo :)

Despite the long flight, you did make a concise yet informative review that has not waivered my opinion regarding commercial airlines that connect my country with East Asia and Australia. After watching your reviews about the US carriers you used for your trans-Pacific crossing, I will be more than happy to pay extra and fly on the East Asian carriers than even the best the US has to offer. However, I am holding on for being absolutely confident in my decision, because I am waiting for you to fly on American Airlines for a long haul flight. So, let’s just say I am almost totally convinced. There is nothing in my opinion that even comes close to the service that ANA, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Asia, and Cathay Pacific (I think I have them all…) offer when it comes to luxury and service on flights. If I had been on that flight, I most likely would have hid under a pillow. A lot of my mates say that Qantas is probably the best western carrier out there. Perhaps Australia’s close proximity to Asia has a little impact. Good question regarding my seat and its proximity to the lavatory! Actually I didn’t find it disturbing at all. Since I was in the smaller cabin with only 3-4 rows. Only less than 10 individuals would walk past me throughout the flight to use the lavatory. Plus my seat 9L has the advantage of being on the window side rather than the aisle. So at least there was the table and small divider that separated me and the aisle. What actually was slightly disturbing was the galley where crew prepared the meals. But it was only a tiny potion of the flight when it was a bit annoying :)
I will, but they’re always so expensive, I’ve looked at flights to from HK to Bali/CGK, Sydney to Bali/CGK. Even HK to Sydney via Bali/CGK.. Qantas/Cathay/Singapore a lot cheaper

That SATS staff whom scanned your boarding pass at the boarding gate was so neglect. I would take it very personally if someone treats me this way.
I think ANAs air fare is one of the reasons for the poor demand from general passengers. They are one of the pricier in the region.

Well done Jayden and if you must choose between JL and NH on SIN-NRT which one will your favour? If you have CX frequent flyer miles you're better off using JL while TG Royal Orchid UA Mileage Plus members choose NH. Regarding SIN-NRT you also have the option of SQ11/12 SIN-NRT-LAX.
JL for wider seats and better oneworld lounges. Chose NH though for the low prices haha

In the NYC area, CX FFQ Oneworld Elite tier gains access to EWR Terminal B BA lounge AA Terminal A lounge JFK AA & BA Terminal 8 JL Terminal 1 lounge LGA AA lounge. My question is this is your Mum used to an aeroplane like this or not? If not the Electrochromatic will be a problem because my parents are used to an aeroplane that has Window shades instead of this window
