If you do not mind me asking, what kind of thinning ratio are you using?
I tried Humbrol straight out of the can with so so results. I tried thinning Humbrol 1:1 with mineral spirits and I also had so so results. Do you find that each color needs a different ratio, or is there one that seems to work?
I know that everyone says that the ideal temperature is around 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit, and most use a fish tank heater to maintain that temperature... but I am in Florida and it is difficult to keep the water that cool during most of the year.
I am going to do more testing. It seems very hard to find much information online.
Thank you very much for posting this video, it is helpful. You explained many things that I did not know.

You are very welcome. I'll do my best to answer a couple of your questions or concerns with water temp and thinner ratio. The water temp trick I use is if the water is to hot or cold I will get the desired temperature from my sink tap water. If water is too hot in Fla then cool it down with cold tap water at 5 gallon bucket ratios until temperature is 78 degrees. For example in my latest video the outside water temp is still a little cool so I had to add 10 gallons of hot tap water to my 50 gallon barrel and it made the perfect temperature of 78.
The thinner ratio I use for all enamels, humbrol or rustoleum is 1 to 2. One pippet of thinner to 2 pippet tubes of paint. Different colors don't seem to make any difference. Hope this helps
