I am primary DNB obg (3yrs), I passed my final exam in my first attempt... I am not a topper and I worked very hard in the govt institute throughout my tenure... I have done >500 lscs in my residency only, including 4th lscs... Try choosing a hospital with good work load and preferably govt institute... U have to study on your own most of the time and while seeing patients... The patient teaches u, when u are managing them... DNB is do-able, when u want to give your best...
Great to hear this ! Happy to know that you were able to 'Learn on the job'. now that you are a degree holder, attend conferences and take classes for juniors. that way your academics become stronger... which is a good adjunct to surgical skills.

I never thought of obg just liked the work in intern postings.

Understand the work not degree as even a BAMS BUMS homeopathy too practice as gynaecologist because it is ever demanding....there are many obg people but there are few good obg in a city with pure surgical skills...so focus on surgical skills...

I'd really love if you make a video for tips for managing and surviving obgy residency and tips for students interested to do residency in the branch.

If you are extraordinarily skilled and have great caliber then doesn't matter where do you practice......
U can become better obstetrician if u have better skills.. Irrespective of ur gender

Its just as good! SOme of my DNB students are now professors in Govt institutes. DNB is an excellent alternative. its now having more structured teaching and a central exam called 'Formative assessment test' every year.. which is not there even in MD !

Sir how to do Fetal Medicine after ms obgy
There is a recognized FNB course in fetal medicine. many of my PG students have done the FNB n Fetal medicine and even High risk Obstetrics FNB after DNB.

Yes. 3 years training is what is required. Many of my students did mrcog after DNB.

Sir I am an FMG from China and you had come to our college to teach us OBGYN.Sir I am not confident if I can even manage a md seat being an fmg,that too with the recent obc quota rule.only 35.5% seats left for us sir .
1st drop year after internship counts as 2nd attempt Sir ? 😅
attempts at PG entrance are counted only when you sit the exam... so if you take 2-3 years after internship, for whatever reason, to write the exam then its not an attempt till you sit the exam.

Yes... I will not deny that. But there is a lot of awareness and such incidences are only reducing. I want you to report such abuse , no matter who does it, promptly! When the whole country is up against abuse of any kind ... then why tolerate this silently? Report now if you see anything!!
