I remember running those on NJT many many moons ago and how smokey those old Detroit diesels were. We had four of them 500 series that ran one round trip a day to Hoboken N.J. from Waldwick N.J.. It was a forty eight mile round trip. By the way they were the best mosquito repellent ever. We also had two more RDC's that were MNCR the ran between Port Jervis N.Y. and Suffern N.Y.. Very nice video.
Thank you for the video. I enjoyed seeing these rail cars in action. I saw those in Jim Thorpe a few weeks ago when we were taking the Lehigh Gorge excursion. I was told that the Budd train came from Reading and stays in Jim Thorpe for a few hours. I may have to do this excursion sometime.

I wonder if the R&N can do future possible special steam excursions to the Vosburg Tunnel one day in the future?
Heck ye
Didn’t the whole fleet of them get sold i know FGLKs railway had two of them at one time
As far as the RBMN fleet, no. In fact they just acquired two more and are currently getting them running
