How many refs today would simply feel compelled to call it after not seeing it in action but only the aftermath or on the replay ? Further Wayne won how many Lady Byngs in his career ? It’s not exactly as if it was the result of any dirty or underhanded play ( we know this and can see it on the replay ) so there was no way after Fraser didn’t see it he was going to feel the pressure to call it . He would have been calling something he didn’t see , on the Great One of all people and with it also one of the most gentlemanly players in the league. Toronto as good as they played were lucky to force that Kings team to game 7 . They barely tied them in game 6 as it stood .
