Good review of this great mod! I was thinking this exactly myself when I first saw this watch's intro. It needed a pure stainless steel bracelet and not some cute 2 toned stuff. With this fix, I believe this version elevates it above the SSC 813 Panda - which is a beautiful looking piece itself but the ice blue really takes it to new heights! Enjoy!!
I just ordered the watch and the Strapcode bracelet. Cant wait. Dont fuss too much about how the bracelet doesnt quite match the case. The bracelet on the other "Seitonas" doesn't come close to matching the case anyway.The bracelet was clearly an afterthought. I wonder why they went to the trouble to design a new bracelet for the Ice Blue version and just slapped some odd bracelet on the other models??
Couldn't agree more, annoyingly no alternatives in the UK so ordered from the US , luckily got a good enough discount on the watch to offset the cost of this additional bracelet. but the watch head itself is still a beauty, thanks for essentially being my try before i buy.
The benefit of the 24-hour dial is for people who work with others outside the US. Many countries outside America track time on a 24-hour scale. I frequently get informed of meetings around 15:00 or 18:00 etc. That dial is super useful to me.
Good catch. Just measured with my calipers. The original bracelet tapers from 20mm to 18mm. The Strapcode has a more dramatic taper and goes from 20mm to 16mm.

I had the same problem with bracklet. I bent the pin/collar while replacing. So I bought 2 sets from SeikoUSA. Tried to install one and watched multiple videos as well as having done this before. The Pin was too long. I contacted Seiko and they said it was impossible and they sold me the correct ones. They want to charge me to have it sent in. Currently I have the watch on a dark blue rubber strap from my Vaer Watch.
The links of the original bracelet are in the same cross sectional shape as the watch case. That is a good match. Also the square shaped clasp looks like an enlarged centre link of the bracelet. That too is a great match. The clasp in this Strapcode bracelet is too hefty for the watch. I like the original bracelet and the clasp better. That combination looks far more refined, for anyone who is not looking for a Rolex bracelet in every wristwatch he sees.

How much was the strap total to get into the UK?

The mechaquarts japan variant comes with a bracelet similar to this. What are your thoughts on it?
I think it’s a bigger watch so it’s not exactly the same. Still very nice and saves you the trouble of upgrading the bracelet.

The end links are different so it wouldn’t fit on any other watch.

These doesn't fit the new 41mm Go Large Speedtimers with 21mm lugs though.
