Hot Springs Freshwater Salt System wasn't working so well when we first bought our 2019 Envoy. It barely was able to maintain noticeable chlorine levels.. After 6 months we used Ahhsome to purge the spa for 2 hrs. Massive amounts of brown glue-like gunk came out. We then used a white vinegar and water mix to clean the scumline. My Salt System now works great and easily keeps the chlorine levels up with no problem regardless of use. After 10 months, I did a second purge with Ahhsome which produces a minor green film. No brown gunk. I guess the salt system is doing its job keeping things clean. The original gunk was probably from the factory. How does the product you recommend in the video compare to Ahhsome? Is it worth switching?
I actually have used both ahh some and clean start and I do prefer cleanstart over ahhsome as I find ahhsome is difficult to clean up after the purge! However I have found a new product called Tub Scrub and it is absolutely amazing. I’ve used it twice now and I love it. I will be doing a video on it soon so stay tuned!
Can I drain the treated water onto my lawn?
I always do. I would make sure the chlorine is 3ppm or lower

Do you take the jets out first?
You do not need to take the Jets out at all! 😀
What if I do not want to buy any of the items, is there a natural item I can use to purge it instead of Clean Start?
Nevermind found I can use vinegar! Is their a video on what to do once you drain and fill it back up?
Make sure you don’t overdue the vinegar I have had customers have their hot tubs smell like vinegar for months after purging
