Well watching you put your gas tank in the chevelle was very nice of you to keep ur Dad from working with his bad hand I give you so much credit for all your very hard work ur friend Rocky from Massachusetts
I named my catfish Camaro Christine because of difficult she can be trying to restore ( I’ve been trying to get a certain bellhousing that I need for almost 5 years now and every time it comes in stock and I go to hit purchase it sells out within in 15 seconds )
I love how the time you were talking about the wiring and it not being how you would normally do it you were standing in front the the Eastwood sign that says "Do the job right"
One thing I learned on header gaskets. Match them to the headers, not the heads. don't feel bad about that Winters intake cracking, They were not the greatest alloy to begin with. If needed, we can ask the local hospital to station an ambulance outside your shop for those accidents.
Great to see an hour and a half of you James And Caroline. James I hope you heal up quickly and Caroline i hope that you are ok. Hey when installing an intake build up the China walls with the RTV and chuck those rubber gaskets and the cork ones, they blow out over time.
wait.. there are people that still use those front intake gaskets? i wondered who they still put those in the package for.. may the lord bless your intake and not allow it to blow oil out of it
I have a set of headers I got with a 383 I traded a guy for and there for my 64 Dodge 440 2 door hardtop and I’ve heard that they are not fun to install with power steering and torsion bars with an automatic. That slip that Caroline had was tough to watch and I’ve done the same thing so I know it hurt bad. Glad she’s alright.
I love watching the father and daughter team i have serval female friends that work on and restore vehicle to i very refreshing to both working together
FYI They make a copper gasket for round tube headers going on to a square port head. They work pretty good as far as making sure nothing leaks but the flow still doesn't match 100% but that isn't a huge deal
You need a decal cut for the fire wall that says "try try again" love the content. I have been binging your library. I wish I could convince you to come revive my father's 65 Galaxie.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤you guys after my serious stroke a couple years ago. It’s still hard for me to use my left hand. I can only imagine how hard it would be to work on aged autos❤❤❤❤ Caroline. I hope your butt’s better that was quite a fall.😂😂😂😂 y’all stay safe and I’ll see you next video- Brian G.
I've been thinking about doing the same thing with my 66 Chevelle and after seeing how much you struggled i think I will just stick with my mighty mouse 383. Great episode enjoying the content keep up the great work and have some fun with this Chevelle! After all this is the heartbeat of America yesterday's Chevry Chevelle and aren't they beautiful works of art! See you on the next video.
Sometimes you fight hard to get certain cars over the finish line but it makes your victory all the more sweet. Good job guys. 👏🏻(Also, I kept hearing Johnny Cash sing the song “Hurt” in my head all throughout this episode) 😣 😅
We must be cut from the same cloth, because one time I fixed my Honda head gasket while on crutches with a shattered ankle. Needed it to get to physical therapy. Also, it was a stick shift. So I fabbed my own handicap linkage so I could push the clutch pedal with my left hand 🤣.
I had a 67 big block 4 speed chevelle that was that turquoise color and I bought it from a guy who bought the car but he said it was more car then he wanted and he said the guy he got it from rebuilt the engine so the car had a solid lift cam in it and I thought that was kind of funny and then I realized it had rectangular port heads on it and I thought let me run the numbers on the block and it ended up being a L88 427 not a 396 I was happy as a kid at Christmas getting his favorite bike. The car was wicked fast and I was wondering why it had a tach drive distributor on it had a m22 Muncie with a Hurst competition shifter with the reverse lock out the car had a set of lakewood later bars on it with 456 gears in the factory 12 bolt rear-end. The car was pretty fast I almost felt bad talking the guy down on the price as much as I did he wanted $2.800 for the car and I got him down to $2.200 that was a good car.i never did find out where the 427 came from. I guess the original owner must have blown up the 396.
Yep! Broken bones definitely hurt, broke my right wrist at a young age of 10 years old, and a few years ago I dislocated my left arm from my shoulder, that one hurt real bad and waited a long time in emergency til I got looked at buy a doctor
Getting shards of steel drilled out of your 👁 eyeball ,,,,that's pain that also goes through your WHOLE body......even worse is twice almost a year apart ,,,with safety glasses on......wow😢
This video is great, but I feel (and I'm pretty sure Caroline will agree with me on this) it needs about 27-32 % more dad jokes and pranks, preferably really cringy ones involving Caroline (of course...) to really take it to the next level...😉😁
Grate job .when someone puts a starter on they need to take there time and make sure the bolt is staring the right way .I have got motors before and had that The worse thing I had was a motor it was a 400 small block with a 350 crank .I could not keep a balancer on it I was told you had to run a 400 balancer .did that it would not stay on tried a 350 balancer it would not stay on it fucked up the end of my crank
You said that the new light weight hood might not work.but I thought it looked like the steering box isn't for power steering.but I could be mistaken and not know what I'm talking about
I have a hard time shutting down and not doing things too if I'm injured James I've got a slip disc in my back and two bulging discs and I'm not supposed to be doing very much but I took the bed off my 55 Chevrolet truck today and it wasn't easy cuz I have no way of lifting it off other than just lifting it off yourself
The battery will be with the car the rest of its life. Or a lot of luck that you will find another same size battery. I would rather make it a little bigger than the battery. So then maybe a person would have options
How long did that take to figure out that you were going to have to take the bolts out of motor mounts. They are only as hard as someone makes it. And you have a lift. Try to put headers without the lift. Seems to me that you have it nice. Shouldn't be a problem.
Girl, you and your Dad needs to be more careful. Your Dad broke his hand and you got hurt twice in this episode. I love your content. I tell all my car buddies about your channel.
If you ever come to Alabama steel dragstrip steel Alabama hit me up. I live in Gadsden, probably 20 minutes away from you and still I love to hang out with y’all and let’s get wrenching. I just like to watch talk to you, Caroline.
i really want one of those batteries for my build for my channel lol they are just so expensive and i dont have any sponsers for my channel yet this is will out of roanoke va
Well watching you put your gas tank in the chevelle was very nice of you to keep ur Dad from working with his bad hand I give you so much credit for all your very hard work ur friend Rocky from Massachusetts
I think you need to name this car Christine! All the accidents in this episode were crazy! Hope you guys healed well!

Great episode, love the dog! 😊👍🙏🙏
Perfect "Live Long and Prosper" sign at 46:43 .
One thing I learned on header gaskets. Match them to the headers, not the heads. don't feel bad about that Winters intake cracking, They were not the greatest alloy to begin with. If needed, we can ask the local hospital to station an ambulance outside your shop for those accidents.
Installing the headers so far this is what I like to call watch your fingers moment😮😮🙏🏿🙏🏿

🙏 Thank you for the well wishes and the great advice!
I would use a block off plate on that EGR valve,it just doesn’t look right on a 66 chevelle.
wait.. there are people that still use those front intake gaskets? i wondered who they still put those in the package for.. may the lord bless your intake and not allow it to blow oil out of it

Great job BTW, glad everyone is healing ok

Sometimes you fight hard to get certain cars over the finish line but it makes your victory all the more sweet. Good job guys. 👏🏻(Also, I kept hearing Johnny Cash sing the song “Hurt” in my head all throughout this episode) 😣 😅

Did I hear if we sell the Chevelle? 👎🏼 cool battery box fab work 👍🏼

Sounds like a tough situation. Glad you got the bed off 👍Keep wrenchin
clean good around bolt hole and JB Weld it where metal is misiing
Do yall build to flip or keep
Is that battery smaller than a typical battery? If so doesn't that kind of limit what you can replace it with based on the size of the box you made?
The battery will be with the car the rest of its life. Or a lot of luck that you will find another same size battery. I would rather make it a little bigger than the battery. So then maybe a person would have options

Usually rolled into the garage door.
It's to bad. That could be a cool car. 4speed or Thurbo 400 with a stage 2 shift kit 3500 Stahl converter and a B and M shifter on the floor of course.
I thought Tim’s prices were borderline giveaway along with being a great guy.
We agree!
The hood looks like it’s going to be really close to the battery…🤔
It is,
👍
Great
Hope she feels better i know that hurt. Who are the pantera parts for? Vice grip garage
Little bruised but not broken. Pantera parts are a buddy’s of ours.
My hand twice total hip replacement two back surgeries right shoulder surgery broken leg and ankle
Jeez! Do they call you the “Bionic Man” now? Hope you’re healed up!
Girl, you and your Dad needs to be more careful. Your Dad broke his hand and you got hurt twice in this episode. I love your content. I tell all my car buddies about your channel.

They sale replacement bottle jacks at harbor freight just saying.
Column shift is for grandpas floor shift is the only way to go.
Don’t you boy guys have a transmission jack? Because they work great on gas tanks
You're right, a transmission jack is the way to go!
@ that’s pretty cool. You guys reply back every now and again.
Is that a green 71 charger
Thee ol' SHE Velle'!
Very nice
Thx
You broke that aluminum intake and replaced it with that cast. This car is taking hit after hit on being cool. Maybe you can turn it around.
We will!
How did he break his hand no
Incision should go to coil
so.. either you haven't said or I missed it.. WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAND??
It needs a tunnel ram
We agree!
Hey Caroline! At 18:20 James walks by a Mopar in brownish primer. What is it? Is it a good driver? Wanna sell it to me? Anthony in Fort Lauderdale
James here, that is our 71 roadrunner. NFS as of right now. You can watch us build it on our very first video.
@@HHWheels Thanks James! Have anything Mopar that IFS? Best, Anthony
When is the next episode of the 66
Coming soon! 👍👍
I don’t understand the concept of the car being a lost “legend”. It’s a Chevelle from Roanoke.
It was lost, it is a Chevelle, it was in Roanoke Va. and, we are making it, LEGENDARY!😂😂😂
Thx for watching ✌️
This show is about what not to do
Learning as we go👍
