What climate do you have to have to grow moringa anyway? Don't you have to be tropical. All of us temperate guys can grow a wide variety of (and should grow several varieties of at least) cruciferous veggies. I'm excited to grow them this winter because I finally finished my greenhouse late last winter. In time for some lettuce and starting tomatoes and peppers. But next year I'm hoping to have it full of veggies (including cruciferous ones) late in the fall and ride through the winter, one hopes / expects.

Wait, wait, I know the answer: ITC's baby - the most cancer protective phytochemicals with no "leveling off effect", i.e. 2 pounds is twice as protective as 1. You have to eat / chew them raw or blend them before cooking because the ITC's are formed when you combine two parts of the cell (myrosinase - which is a heat sensitive enzyme - and glocosinolates (or something) - which is in a different part of the cell). Also, they - along with other green veggies and non-starchy veggies - are super low in calories but super high in micronutrients. And a healthful diet is one that is moderately restricted in calories but simultaneously very high in micronutrients (phytochemicals, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals). Eating foods that are high in micronutrients and low in calories is what enables people to be comfortable consuming less calories, by the way. There's no way to eat any flour, sugar, oil, meat, and cheese (at least very much or often) and be satisfied eating less calories. Greens - along with beans, fruit (particularly berries), onions, mushrooms, and seeds and nuts make it very easy not to over-consume calories.

What about eating Spirulina, and Chlorella instead of eating cooked greens? (7 grams of Spirulina / 14 grams of Chlorella daily) However, not avoiding Cruciferous Vegetables. TY! Dr. Greger!

No Dr Greiger, Moringa is not African. The ancient name is Shobhanjana (corrupted to sahjan in Hindi)
It originated in the Himalayan foothills. It is popular in South India and the Tamil (and malayalam) name is Muringa.

I see that mustard seeds are listed as a cruciferous vegetable. How many spoonfuls of mustard seeds would serve as one serving?

Bariatric surgery can extend one's life (for people who cannot or will not eat a whole plant food diet) or you could just eat the meal shown on the video at the same time, which except for what appears to be fried falafel, looks georgeous and is making me hungry. And there's already beans on the plate. I would just whip up a dressing using nuts or seeds for fat instead of oil, and maybe pour that on. Or just sprinkle on some nuts or seeds. I'd also like to go find out where that pomegranate is coming from and through half the fruit (if not more) on the "salad", then it would be perfectly palatable. Chew it thoroughly. Follow it up with a veggie bean soup and or some fruit, fresh or frozen, possibly blended into a sorbet, and call it good. Meal accomplished.

Some questions are really far out, surgery or simply changing diet? If you have to ask such a question why even bother trying to learn a healthy way. You can treat a headache with aspirin or a bullet. One way will fix it permanently. Check with a health professional before taking this advice…
