    DALLYN VAIL BAYLES is a professional actor, singer, recording artist and teacher. He understudied and played the roles of the Phantom and Raoul in the Broadway touring company of The Phantom of the Opera. Dallyn performed the role of Enjolras on the Broadway tour of Les Misérables, and was part of the show’s China premiere engagement starring Colm Wilkinson. Dallyn has also performed leading roles in numerous regional theater productions across the country, including: Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, D’Ysquith Family in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, King Triton in The Little Mermaid, Chauvelin in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Edward Rochester in Jane Eyre, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, Emile de Becque in South Pacific, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, and Sid Sorokin in The Pajama Game. On film, Dallyn portrays Brigham Young in His Name is Green Flake, Pontius Pilate in Lamb of God: The Concert Film, the title role in The Stranger, Hyrum Smith in the films Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration and Emma Smith: My Story, and leads in three movies from the Liken the Scriptures musical film series. As a concert soloist, Dallyn has performed at the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and other notable venues across the country with several distinguished performers, musicians, and composers, including: Stephen Schwartz, Frank Wildhorn, Rebecca Luker, Matthew Morrison, Sierra Boggess, Tori Kelly, Colbie Caillat, Hayley Westenra, Kurt Bestor, and the Utah Symphony. He recently performed with Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker as the narrator and tenor soloist in the national touring production of “The Redeemer.” Dallyn also performed in the staged concert The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City along with Tony-winner Lisa Hopkins Seegmiller, David Osmond, and Lexi Walker. He has been a frequent guest soloist with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square on “Music and the Spoken Word,” and at several concerts and events. Dallyn has recorded three solo albums: Some Enchanted Evening, Song of Redeeming Love and Prayer; and the duo Christmas album, O Holy Night, with Mindy Smoot Robbins. His recordings are featured in the films 17 Miracles and Ephraim’s Rescue, and in numerous music videos with millions of views. In addition to performing, Dallyn has worked as a director, masterclass instructor, private acting and voice teacher, and the director of the Utah Valley Institute Singers choir. He completed his MFA in Musical Theatre at The Boston Conservatory, and received his BFA in Music Dance Theatre from BYU. Dallyn was awarded the Utah Governor’s Performing Artist Award, and the BYU Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award.
