I will now headcanon this as something William said to the crew and 8 flames when he disbanded the crew, a final speech. He gives a speech talking about all the people the DLP met since EP 1, everything they’ve done and all of the people who have died throughout this journey and then he says that he’s disbanded the crew
I know Rustage said he was worried about disappointing people with the finally, but I can say with my whole heart that Rustage succeeded. This almost made me cry. What a series. P.S. a pdf containing npc sheets would be fire.

Well boys, its been a ride. I cant speak for everyone and im sure nobody wants to get overly sentimental, but One Piece D&D means a lot, especially for those who have been here since the beginning. Having something to look forward to, even if it's once every two weeks, will give you reasons to stay in this world when you have none. I got into high school when OPD&D started and now im leaving it, but Duros, Ragnar, Verona, William, and all the other NPC's have made me feel like I belong and like I have a friend group. Thank you Rustage for being a not good but great DM, always doing your best for the players and viewers, having interesting plot twists and turns. Thank you Tekking for playing one of the most entertaining and lovable assholes in fiction, Captain William is less than he thinks, but more than he is. Thank you Briggs for playing possibly the best character arc in the campaign and being a genuinely cool and funny guy. Thank you Noble for playing the moral pillar, a noble and outstanding example of what every man should strive to be, and thanks for making some of the funniest quips ever. Thank you Spooky for actually playing my favorite character, Verona rocks and he's a really cool guy, and your subtler humor really made the campaign so much more enjoyable. I guess now that this has officially ended I just wanted to say this and i think im speaking for the majority of the fanbase, thank you guys. Can't wait to see Marines, buckle up cuz its gonna get wild. So people, hold up your flagons and raise up the sails for the very last time.
Absolutely incredible. I loved watching this entire series and was honestly more invested in this story than I was in the MCU. I don't know if anyone has pointed this out, but it's magical how so many plot points were technically up to chance, yet fit SO well. It ultimately made a story that was good enough to stand alone as a written tale, but was made so much more exciting because it was told in the moment. Can't wait for the next campaign!
Right? This wasn’t your typical DND where the story deviates into some differing plot threads that never resolve themselves. This one stuck to the story quite well especially near the end! And I love Williams final move against the Director.

I loved how each member of the DLP ( both PC and NPC) had their moments to shine in the final battle. Every single fighting crewmate managed to score a kill/victory. And how they handled Blue Ragnar was genius. And I’m so happy the crew got the endings they truly deserved. I wonder what happened to Blake, Little Ricky and Clementine though. Maybe we’ll learn in Marines.
I don't believe I've commented on this series throughout the journey, but I feel a need to comment on this one. This has been an absolutely amazing adventure, and I'm so glad I found it when I did (roughly episode 5). Not only did this series help me through some tough times, but it even inspired me to start DMing my own campaigns. While I do agree, there's also a key difference, Ragnar 4 used it for pointless strength. Ragnar 3 used it to protect his friends, but just couldn't stop

I can’t believe it’s over, honestly I kinda wished there was an entire sessions worth of an epilogue showing how they got off of laugh tale and the journey to their respective endpoints that will lead to their respective epilogues like the journey to Duros and the return to the candle’s base where I imagine the rest of the crew would disband officially maybe take a lift to where they want to end up on like Pearl going to Tarako kingdom or William getting his own ship to do thieving stuff, Verona staying with Lissa on the Void Police Ship maybe.

My headcanon for Ragnar's back story is that he immediately went back to be with his wife and kid and spent time at that Island as it's personal protector for so many years until it was attacked by one of Blue bloods many bastard children he defeats them easily but the sent or taste of their blue blood makes him relapse and thats what made him what he is in his epilogue

Well this was one hell of a journey, I really really enjoyed this story. There were some amazing fights, some heartwarming moments, and some sad deaths, this dnd really made me feel a lot of emotions. The character epilogues were also good, I'm happy for where all the characters ended up, besides Ragnar, but his epilogue makes sense still, hopefully Ragnar can get some sort of closure in marines, whether that be death, or he somehow gets cured of his addiction. Also R.I.P Bullet, I know she was bad for a while, but in the end I think she made up for it. But anyways thank you for this amazing journey Rustage!

Most of all I want to thank Briggs for an amazing character arc and I cant wait to find out what happened to Ragnar in the 10 years after Laughtale. It took a lot to turn Ragnar from just a guy who blames himself for what happened to his son into the very same thing that his son became. Its amazing writing and it made me soooo sad that Ragnar couldnt just enjoy his life with Magnus and Hertha. Thank you! Hold up your flagons and raise up the sails!
Rip Bullet… My ship between William and her is forever broken and lost by that fucking devil Gold D. Roger!!!! Briggs becoming an antagonist at the end was heartbreaking, but fair. Unfortunately, it was the appropriate direction to take his character. My ship with Verona has finally sailed. Hooray for that one. Man… on the side note, I really wanted to see Bullet quest line to be explored. That shit was bogus not knowing who paid Gravy to kill her brother. I’m very disappointed about that.

Good job. But there is also the axe guy that killed captain Hastings in Rain's flashback. If I remember correctly he was a candle too. Then he was replaced by Tako or Little Timmy (since Hemlock mentioned Tako being a new addition, and of course Little Jimmy joined after he met the crew and being saved by Hemlock from execution)
I still can't believe I found this podcast when I did. Almost exactly 2 years ago, I made a very big life decision and moved 20 hours from home, the days leading up to it I was searching allfor all sorts of ways to entertain myself during the 20 hours that I'd be driving and magically landed on this out of pure chance. As soon as I left that morning I threw this on on Spotify and I completely lost myself in the story, the characters, and the world. Before I knew it I was at my destination and the most current episode at the time came to a close. Since then I haven't missed a single release. And it's been worth every damn second of it. Thank you Rustage, Noble, Tekking, Spooky, and Briggs. The Devil's luck never dies!

I cant speak for everyone and im sure nobody wants to get overly sentimental, but One Piece D&D means a lot, especially for those who have been here since the beginning. Having something to look forward to, even if it's once every two weeks, will give you reasons to stay in this world when you have none. I got into high school when OPD&D started and now im leaving it, but Duros, Ragnar, Verona, William, and all the other NPC's have made me feel like I belong and like I have a friend group. Thank you Rustage for being a not good but great DM, always doing your best for the players and viewers, having interesting plot twists and turns. Thank you Tekking for playing one of the most entertaining and lovable assholes in fiction, Captain William is less than he thinks, but more than he is. Thank you Briggs for playing possibly the best character arc in the campaign and being a genuinely cool and funny guy. Thank you Noble for playing the moral pillar, a noble and outstanding example of what every man should strive to be, and thanks for making some of the funniest quips ever. Thank you Spooky for actually playing my favorite character, Verona rocks and he's a really cool guy, and your subtler humor really made the campaign so much more enjoyable. I guess now that this has officially ended I just wanted to say this and i think im speaking for the majority of the fanbase, thank you guys.

Absolutely incredible. I loved watching this entire series and was honestly more invested in this story than I was in the MCU.
I don't know if anyone has pointed this out, but it's magical how so many plot points were technically up to chance, yet fit SO well. It ultimately made a story that was good enough to stand alone as a written tale, but was made so much more exciting because it was told in the moment.

Right? This wasn’t your typical DND where the story deviates into some differing plot threads that never resolve themselves. This one stuck to the story quite well especially near the end! And I love Williams final move against the Director.

I loved how each member of the DLP ( both PC and NPC) had their moments to shine in the final battle. Every single fighting crewmate managed to score a kill/victory. And how they handled Blue Ragnar was genius.
And I’m so happy the crew got the endings they truly deserved. I wonder what happened to Blake, Little Ricky and Clementine though. Maybe we’ll learn in Marines.

This has been an absolutely amazing adventure, and I'm so glad I found it when I did (roughly episode 5). Not only did this series help me through some tough times, but it even inspired me to start DMing my own campaigns.

I can’t believe it’s over, honestly I kinda wished there was an entire sessions worth of an epilogue showing how they got off of laugh tale and the journey to their respective endpoints that will lead to their respective epilogues like the journey to Duros and the return to the candle’s base where I imagine the rest of the crew would disband officially maybe take a lift to where they want to end up on like Pearl going to Tarako kingdom or William getting his own ship to do thieving stuff, Verona staying with Lissa on the Void Police Ship maybe.
Hopefully we’ll see it in Marines

My headcanon for Ragnar's back story is that he immediately went back to be with his wife and kid and spent time at that Island as it's personal protector for so many years until it was attacked by one of Blue bloods many bastard children he defeats them easily but the sent or taste of their blue blood makes him relapse and thats what made him what he is in his epilogue
It’s crazy bc he killed his son in part bc of his connection with blue blood and now look at him 😢

Well this was one hell of a journey, I really really enjoyed this story. There were some amazing fights, some heartwarming moments, and some sad deaths, this dnd really made me feel a lot of emotions. The character epilogues were also good, I'm happy for where all the characters ended up, besides Ragnar, but his epilogue makes sense still, hopefully Ragnar can get some sort of closure in marines, whether that be death, or he somehow gets cured of his addiction. Also R.I.P Bullet, I know she was bad for a while, but in the end I think she made up for it. But anyways thank you for this amazing journey Rustage!

Most of all I want to thank Briggs for an amazing character arc and I cant wait to find out what happened to Ragnar in the 10 years after Laughtale. It took a lot to turn Ragnar from just a guy who blames himself for what happened to his son into the very same thing that his son became. Its amazing writing and it made me soooo sad that Ragnar couldnt just enjoy his life with Magnus and Hertha.

I came across this series by accident when it had been going on for about over a year and I loved it so much that I rushed to catch up. I’ve watched and enjoyed dnd podcasts before but damn there is something different about this series, when I caught up I waited constantly for the next episode… at least until I realised that this was streamed and started watching it live instead. It has been an amazing journey filled with terrible plans, badass moments, extreme stupidity and obviously a lot of luck. Good job. But there is also the axe guy that killed captain Hastings in Rain's flashback. If I remember correctly he was a candle too. Then he was replaced by Tako or Little Timmy (since Hemlock mentioned Tako being a new addition, and of course Little Jimmy joined after he met the crew and being saved by Hemlock from execution)
I still can't believe I found this podcast when I did. Almost exactly 2 years ago, I made a very big life decision and moved 20 hours from home, the days leading up to it I was searching allfor all sorts of ways to entertain myself during the 20 hours that I'd be driving and magically landed on this out of pure chance. As soon as I left that morning I threw this on on Spotify and I completely lost myself in the story, the characters, and the world. Before I knew it I was at my destination and the most current episode at the time came to a close. Since then I haven't missed a single release. And it's been worth every damn second of it. Thank you Rustage, Noble, Tekking, Spooky, and Briggs. The Devil's luck never dies!
