1000% agree with you Pravus, I got my heart broken (broke my own heart, let's be real, she didn't like me and I kept at it) and didn't talk to a girl for over 5 years. Worked on myself, got fit, got educated, started a business, and met the most amazing girl who was working on improving her self also. We work so well because we took the time to be single, understand ourselves, and what we really needed.

So this girl that is my best friend has been liking me for like a year. We have knew each other for also like year. Once we met I did like her but then it changed and I got a gf. Yet she kept liking. I have rejected her 2 times and some how she didn’t give up. Till then I broke up with my gf 11 months in. My best friend she does make me happy and all this. Even our friends say I look happy with her which is true. So then I started to like her back. Until a couple weeks ago we got together. Now I’m happier then ever.
