THANK YOU PRAVUS!!! I can't believe you finally played my scenario! Also there is a way to get into an island, even after it's closed it's ports, you just have to find it! Also necrosis, and total organ failure are supposed to be after the 3rd genetic reshuffle, but for some reason it didn't pop up, I'll see if I can fix it. BTW I made this on my phone, & also I can't add more trolls, I maxed out the allotted amount of custom mechanics!

Ya, it maxes out at 150 events. Yes I put in that many! Idk why, but that's the limit. If you try to go to event 151 and start to edit it, it will just freeze the phone screen, on that app at least.

Now I want to know what happens if you start in Greenland. I'll have to try this scenario. EDIT: Bigtime spoilers, but in the comments I've listed what happens for every starting country.

- Starting in any country (with one exception) causes that country to close all ports and airports. If you're on an island (including Greenland) you're probably doomed.
In addition:
- Starting in the UK causes the entire population of France to teleport to Greenland.
- Starting in the US has the same effect on Mexico.
- Russia, Finland add $30,000 to Greenland's cure budget.
- Germany shuts down France as well.
- France shuts down all bordering countries.
- Italy increases its own budget by 5 times.
- Poland, Balkan States, Baltic States and Ukraine teleport you to Spain (but don't close Spain's borders)
- Central Europe teleports you to Indonesia and closes Indonesia's borders
- Canada shuts down the USA
- Mexico shuts down Central America
- Central America teleports you to Kazakhstan and closes down China
- Colombia shuts down Brazil, Central America, and Canada (actually it says one North American country so it may be randomized)
- Peru shuts down Brazil
- Bolivia increases its cure budget to 20 flasks
- Argentina shuts down Brazil and Central America
- Brazil teleports you to Canada and closes Canada's borders
- Kazakhstan shuts down China
- Korea increases its cure budget by 5 times
- Central Asia teleports you to Sweden
- China increases its cure budget to 100 flasks
- Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, Middle East and Central Africa teleport you to Morocco
- India increases budget to 120 flasks
- Pakistan allegedly becomes less densely populated, but population is the same so I'm not sure how this works
- Iran and Iraq teleport you to Canada
- Turkey and Egypt shut down Saudi Arabia
- Saudi Arabia increases budget to 80 flasks and teleports you to Poland. Saudi Arabia *does not* close its borders.
- Libya and Sudan shut down Egypt
- Algeria shuts down Egypt and West Africa
- Morocco teleports the population of West Africa and Algeria to New Zealand.
- East Africa shuts down Saudi Arabia and South Africa
- Angola, Botswana and Zimbabwe shut down the port in South Africa
- Sweden, Norway, South Africa and West Africa do nothing except close their borders. Doesn't mean those countries are good, though. South Africa and West Africa, you'll need to spread across the entire continent before you can go anywhere else. Norway - good luck reaching Greenland before the Russia event. Sweden - might be playable.
FWIW, I haven't played that much and don't have great in-depth knowledge, but I'd guess some of the better starting countries are:
- Bolivia: Next to Brazil, budget increase isn't too painful.
- Pakistan: Haven't played to see how bad the effect on population density is, but it won't matter once you spread outside of the country
- Libya/Sudan: not too far from Saudi Arabia
- Sweden: Starting in cold countries is harder, but at least Greenland won't be a problem.
- Any of the countries that teleports you to Spain. It will be harder with a cold-adapted virus, but you start in a country with air and sea ports open.

Start in Indonesia will shut down indo and s.e asia teleport to iceland, and east africa also shut saudi and south africa. This not only shut 2 major airport, but also closing most way to madagascar (you can only go to madagascar via australia or secret ability)

I'm finally going to ask because this has bothered me for nearly a decade or so: why is sweating more dangerous in COLD countries? People sweat when they're hot. Am I stupid? I don't get it, I've tried to get it, I still don't 🙃
Idk why either but it could be because sweating cools down your body and when u sweat even though you're cold you cool down even more and that can be dangerous
You sweat to cool down from the outside but when sick your body attempts to heat up on the inside. The colder your skin the higher your body tries to heat up, because it can not directly distinguishe between skin and core temperature, which makes you have even higher fever and in colder countries this effect is even stronger since your skin temperature is already slightly colder

What happens if you start in Greenland?
I don't publish much on the workshop but I can't imagine just adding a couple symptoms to an existing tree or not doing any scripting. Even with the lowest effort I would always start by completely wiping the tree (except with vampire plague because I need to understand how the mechanics work).
You might say "but then you won't know what's balanced"
Well, hate to break it to you but the stock balance isn't balanced.l for your custom scenario. What may be a perfectly reasonable ratio of lethality, severity, DNA cost/benefit, country spread, infectivity, government action triggers, and scripting for symptom combos or special mechanics in a stock scenario could be utterly nonsensical in your scenario. If you wouldn't copy and paste symptoms from an indigofenix scenario, you shouldn't do so from a stock one.

May I recoomend a scenario? Maybe not to play on camera, just to try and beat on your own, unless you want a really short video. Let me explain this scenario, it is called 'Super Brutal'. The cure is done instantly, no starting genetic code, cannot select disease type, and no cheats. Because of the instant cure, it is really a race against the clock before you are cured. I'am not even sure if this custom scenario is possible. If mega Brutal is too easy for you, then try this! If that's not your forte, then there is a custom scenario called 'Trumpitus' that is a neurax worm and try to control the world to make them follow trump.
