- Hi everyone, in this video I made one functional laptop from two HP laptops and other parts that has left from other failed projects. A long ago I got one HP 250 G6 without display and bad case, I plan to turn the laptop in some desktop computer but I then I found another HP 250 for parts, and from 2 I made one functional laptop. In general this laptop is made from leftovers, but not bad at all. Current specs are: 6th gen Intel i3, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB Samsung EVO and 1TB standard mechanical disk.
Games in this video: GTA 5 and Stronghold HD.

Whats amazing is you can spend like 60 dollars buying parts machines and making it into one working one that usually sells for hundreds. It really is a bargain and good idea if you know what your doing
Very informative as always. Please make 3D printed case for laptop motherboard that can be attached at back of monitor(VESA) to make it All in one PC.
A slight addition is to have mounting spots for an usb dvd/Blu-ray drive and usb hubs.
this stuffs always satisfying to watch, saving tech from the land fill and giving it new life.

You're doing some pretty good job at repairing those laptops, it is definitely better for the environment and for your pockets than always buying brand new.
Also, I bet that running it with a Linux Distro would make it even faster!
250 G6 often has a problem with the BIOS, flashing on the programmer helps. I work in the service, more than once they came for repairs.
You know it is good content when the youtuber didn't bother to lengthen the video to 10 mins, keep up the good work Andrew!
z and y keys switched its places
Some countries use QWERTZ keyboard instead of QWERTY. I have a spare QWERTZ one from when I had to do a keyboard swap for a friends' laptop.

im not sure if i missed anything but isnt there supposed to be an m.2 slot there at 4:36 i have a little newer i3-7100u laptop from hp with an m.2 drive also you can see that the slot is missing

I still use core 2 duo. And 250 gb isn't much? I use 80 gb hd and only use 30 gb out of it.
from what i recall the 250 g6 is notorious for being not that good, the specs were horrible, the build quality was sub par even for the price range it was aiming for
Yeah I've seen that these laptops are very plasticky, it even made a mark on the case when I used a pry tool to open the two halves (for a RAM upgrade). But for their low price, it's not a problem, especially when you have an SSD, 16GB RAM and an i5-1035G1. (My parents 250 G7 has these specs.)

I have the same laptop , with the cpu i5 -7200u processor
My parents have the 250 G7 which has i5-1035G1 (I think?). I also managed to find the version that had optical disk, as that is still a requirement. This is way better than their old HP G6 with E2-1800 from AMD.

Unfortunatly those are not stains.
It's wear caused by repeated use and unfortunately there probably isn't a way to fix it

Bro i have a old sony viao e series laptop which has i3 330m, i was thinking of upgrading the ram it supports 8gb maximum, i put 8 gb ram with 1600 mhz but it dosent work, i even tried 4gb and even 1333 mhz ram but it still dosent work, is there any way that u can help me??

I think that's not oil, that's wear from use--that trackpad was well-used. Yes, you can prevent it by putting a protector on it or simply put a vinyl sticker over it.

Incredible, you made a nice laptop out of one of the worst pieces of trash that is an insult to laptop clients. I mean those things had poor displays, poor keyboards, cheapest possible chassis out of some terribad plastic that was also on some Celeron and Pentium Asus laptops, I think not even Acer made such cheap sucky models like that HP. Andrew, I understand you like a challenge and all respect to you, now sell it to an accountant because it's a laptop with really no personality at all, even if you paint it lol.

Andrew swap the Z and Y keycaps, so you can use it as qwerty layout.
With these laptops, the keyboards are integrated into the top case. Replacing the entire top case to get a QWERTY layout keyboard may well be cost prohibitive, especially if the country that Andrew is in natively uses QWERTZ instead.
@@TheSpotify95 they are swappable though. Not the entire keyboard only the caps.
