Now this is what I've been looking for, a musician that pours his heart and soul into the music. I've only been playing piano for about 4 years but I hope one day I can achieve this and play with this much beauty. Bravo to you sir.
This is marvellous, I loved the delicacy and pace of your rendition, most pianist rush through the last section or play it too agitated loosing the inherent beauty and expressiveness of those undulating chords. Thanks for sharing.
Love how the piano area is decorated with your other passions. The racing helmet, the picture of bmws (correct me if I am wrong), the wine and lastly the Yamaha grand. I share the love for racing and wine and adore your interpretation of one of my favorite Chopin Nocturnes.
Beautiful interpretation in every section. Full of emotions as this piece should be. I worked hard on it and I know how difficult is. The best nocturne.
I love how well accentuated your left hand octaves are in the last part of the doppio movement. Really one of my favorite Chopin pieces, I always think of how we simply read and play these otherworldly beautiful combinations of chords - without Chopin this Beauty would lay hidden beneath our fingertips. I once read that a pianist was thrown out of a cafe while playing Op48No1 during the second part - they thought he was having a laugh playing these chromatic chords crashing downwards into insanity (they must've thought playing the piano is extremely easy)
I have no idea how this doesn’t have more views. You’re an amazing pianist, however I know this doesn’t mean much coming from a young, intermediate, amateur musician and stranger like myself. Awesome interpretation!
@@jamesv61 May I please ask what microphone you used for this video? The audio sounds pretty good for how far away the camera is and how big the room is.
Beautiful piece, beautifully played, as ever. Exquisite interpretation and touch. It certainly portrays powerful emotions - I see what you mean. I also enjoy your accompanying notes.
This is the best interpretation i have ever seen! I am a new listener of yours and was wondering, are you a professional? If not, you definitely do have the skill. Please keep it up 👏👏
Thank you, Reha. I am not a professional, rather having studied at both the Royal College and Academy in London I gave up playing after five years' freelancing. I was fortunate enough to have a degree of success in my non-musical career, that enabled me to buy this wonderful piano a few years ago and started playing again after some 30 years.
@@jamesv61 That's great! I have been learning piano myself, although nowhere near your level. Actually trying to learn waltz op.69 no.2 right now. Hoping to get to your level sometime, but it seems so hard at times. Best wishes to you. I have been coming back to this recording, by the way. It is truly a masterpiece.
This interpretation is a masterpiece, possibly the best I have ever seen has some of the most emotion and just clicks for me.
Thank you
This is a world class performance

Thank you
it is written « doppio movimento » which means 2x faster so ofcourse they « rush ». But if you rush and cant tame it, its better to play it slower
In the sheet music it says "doppio movimento" and "agitato" so I get where they're coming from but some overdo it

繊細で情熱的。私も日本でこの曲をYAMAHAのピアノで弾いています。
Could you tell me what version of Yamaha Grand , I guess C-6 ? correct ? I rather prefer Shigeru Kawai but per the
Channel , I love Yamaha sound .
Yes, it's a CF6
Beautiful done. I'm working on this piece right now and I think it's the most difficult of Nocturnes
it is.

Thank you
Holy shit
I really like the pace. Slow and expressive.
And that's a great sounding Yamaha. Which series?
Thank you. It's a CF6
