The only major ‘boo-boo’ is the fact that I mentioned that there are three ‘Show Courts’, where there are now four. Other than that, I think you’ll find this Wimbledon Tennis Guide super helpful in planning your trip to the world’s most famous tennis venue. Special thanks to Mary Drysdale for doing the tour, she really is as phenomenal as I’ve described! If you are interested in taking a private tour around the capital with the ‘best tour guide in all of London’ - be sure to arrange it with her at www.drysdaletours.com And as always - if you've liked this video, share this video where you can! 😀
Fantastic - I'm glad you enjoyed touring Wimbledon. There's so much history there and it is indeed an amazing tour. Thanks for stopping by, and please be sure to check out my channel for more videos like this :)
At 2:53, the man in the dark Wimbledon football hoodie is Johnny Jackson, the current manager of AFC Wimbledon. As a football fan I knew him more than Dan Bloxham. 😁
That's correct! I didn't want to mention him as he's nothing to do with Tennis, but yeah - you're the first person to spot the manager of AFC Wimbledon!
Thank you! Yes, a re-brand was definitely long overdue and I think it'll serve me well going forward. The general format of the videos will probably remain the same (or similar) as people like the helpful layout. Thanks for the compliments!
Great to see you back making awesome content for us, especially us tennis fans, keep making awesome content for us to enjoy and you’ll get to wear you need to be, you should also think about doing stadium tours in Sheffield if you get a chance. Never give up Ninh!
Thanks very much, I appreciate that! I hope so - I work way to hard on these things to not be successful. I'll see about the Sheffield stadium tours, but you're only one of a handful of people to have ever asked for them?
Thx for the wonderful video because I'm going to the men's singles finals on Sunday and I was lucky to get tickets and we'll be my first time going to a tennis match thank you very for a heads up with your video
WOW! That's amazing! The Men's Singles Final is the hottest ticket in all of tennis and you get to go for your first game - lucky you! How did you get tickets? I'm guessing the ballot? The only other ways of getting a ticket is to be affiliated with a tennis club that won tickets, or know someone who works at Wimbledon. Otherwise, they are near-impossible to get. And thanks for the kind comment on this video 🙂
Yeah it took a while, but I did it. I think the video turned out okay - could do with an upsurge in views on this one though. Hope you enjoyed the video.
@@UltimateBucketList yeah it looks great, if I wasn't persuaded to go to Wimbledon before, I certainly am now, also I take it you're an Andy Murray fan?. Also, also, would you consider doing a similar video regarding the Australian Open?
@@antmanatthemoment7233 I'm honestly not that much of a tennis fan, though I will root for Andy Murray given that he's British. As for a video on the Australian Open, I'll consider it if this Wimbledon video gets a lot more views - otherwise it's not worth my time.
First Tour ever I watch on your channel, that i made in the past. It was 2010 and round about 3 weeks before the legendary 11 hours and 5 minutes match
I’ve been through the ballot nightmare with Arsenal tickets. I wanted to buy tickets for Arsenal VS Brentford. I’ve booked a first class train ticket beforehand and booked at Premier Inn hotel room. I was unsuccessful with the ballot even though I get disabled access for my autism. I am going to try again for next season but this time do it right. I still went to London but instead I went and did the Arsenal stadium tour and watched Mrs Doubtfire the musical.
That's the problem with the ballot system - you can't really plan for anything. And in the event that you do win tickets, you'll be fighting the thousands of other people who also won for hotels and transport and it then becomes super expensive. Hope you get tickets this time around!
Hopefully you'll get to go one day and experience this for yourself. I think if I didn't have my current crop of medical conditions - I would have gone to Silverstone this year. Maybe next time, eh?
Ha ha, thanks Jason. The funny thing is - you could buy the debenture, split up the tickets for individual resale and make an extremely tidy profit, especially if you sell your finals tickets (they can go near 5 figures). You just have to have £80,000 in the first place!
Thanks! I could do with going for election lessons as I still have very annoying speech habits, but hopefully when I sort those out I can do things like voiceover work etc. Appreciate your kind compliments!
@@aidanphillips9337 I am, but some things I prefer left (tennis, badminton) and some I prefer right (ice hockey, golf). I don't have a staunch preference in general.
Disgusted to read today that Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam tournament which has separate changing rooms for seeded and unseeded players. Easy to see why Jack Draper made a mistake when he arrived there for his first round match this year. Wimbledon certainly IS different to all the other tournaments - for its snobbery and ridiculous all white dress code. I watched some of the 2012 Olympics tournament which was held there and seeing all the players in their national colours was marvellous. Wimbledon had never looked so beautiful. I can see why this country produces so few good players - they think tennis is very elite and Wimbledon never does anything to try and change this perception. Wimbledon started out as an Upper classes tournament and still is.
On balance, I agree in principle with what you're trying to say. Wimbledon (and the AELTC) did start out as a tournament/sport for the upper class. It's the prestige and many traditions (some call it snobbery) that makes it stand out from the rest. But here's the thing: if they make their money by cashing in on this elitist perception, why would they ever stop? Food for thought.
@@UltimateBucketList Certainly IS food for thought. AS you say they make their money by cashing in on this elitist perception. And hugely explains why, with a very few exceptions, the state of British tennis continues the way it. My goodness.

What an ace video. You've served up a treat. You'll court many new subscribers. This isn't a backhander of a compliment.
