  • Luke Simpson, Tapflo UK Business Manager, breaks down how a Magnetically Driven Pump works.
In this video, we look at the Gemme Cotti Mag Drive Centrifugal Pumps which are designed so that the motor is coupled to the pump by magnets, instead of a direct mechanical shaft. The pump is operated by the drive magnet, which 'drives' the pump rotor, which is magnetically connected to the motor's primary shaft. This is the basic premise of how the Mag Drive Pump works.
The Mag Drive Pump has many Features and Benefits, including the following:
    Reliable design
    Efficient operating
    No mechanical seal problems
    Safe handling of hazardous fluids
    Hermetic System
The pump comes in many variations, for a full list, follow the link here: www.tapflopumps.co.uk/categor...

There is no leak in this type of pump . Is that because of when the fluid leak, go to the containment can .or it is not reach to can and block by impeller itself

Just started a new job working as a CSR at a major hydraulic company that sells and converts any and every type of hydraulic system, motor, gear box, rotators... I haven't yet heard ab the mag drive pump. Do you think my bosses have? Is this type of patent been around long?

Why a mag drive pump can not be run at low current load of motor?.

    • @treyg.4821

Maybe the low current load is too low to drive the pump
