At 6:18, that lick was killing me, I couldn’t think of what it was from. It finally hit me, it’s the lick at the end of the Stones’ “Cant You Hear Me Knocking”.
I just picked up one of these. It just has such a warm, beautiful tone, not bright, boingy or splashy. It has an “oil can” quality to it, like the Black Fountain or Adineko, that murkiness and depth.
I forgot what it feels like to be freshly in love. My tummy is aching and I'm afraid someone will take the object of my love away from me. I'm coming for you, Kafka💕
So here 3:00 we can see the inside of this pedal. What got my attention is that box inside that says accutronics digi-log reverb. So, simple google search and that part is reverb module that costs 15 dollars.... This pedal costs 250 $.... WTF??? all the components cannot be more then 100 $. There is no DSP with crazy unique algorithms, this is not all analog rare parts BBD stuff, so why 250 $ ?? cool graphics maybee? can someone please help me understand? Cool sound btw, and great demo as always Andy.
I've noticed that all of the German effects manufacturers that don't have regular retailer contracts in the U.S.A. have very high prices on Reverb. But if you'd ask someone in Germany, it costs more like an average boutique pedal there, while things like Earthquaker cost much more for them. I believe it has to do with import taxes. If a middleman bought up a huge supply and paid a set import tax, I'm sure we'd see a lower price on this pedal. But yeah, as cool as this is, $250 is way too expensive for what it is. Similar thing with the German KMA Audio Machines-Fuzzly Bear Silicon Fuzz. $230 for a fuzz, which can vary greatly, but it isn't exactly a difficult circuit to produce.
Alex Breyer makes sense what you say, but on their web page the price is 279 euro which is i think around 300 USD... So it's cheaper on Reverb then in EU.
There is more than meets the eye. Have you built a reverb pedal? The other side of the circuit board has more components. Also, most pedals don't have super expensive parts, unless they are using rare hand selected transistors or super complex layouts.
No matter the complexity, this would still be one of the more expensive reverbs on the market here, especially considering it's limited function. Mind you, it sounds great to me here.

After 2,5 Years ... for me, the KAFKA, is One of the BEST REVERB Pedals EVERl!!!!
I love this sound with the tremolo!
seckin12 If you use an effect un the loop, it's only on the reverb-path not in the dry - path.
Always a pleasure to hear you play.
I just bought one. Thanks Andy!
Peter Urso Thank you!
This guy does great product demos, great player, great picking style, and literary references.
ENDLICH ein ORION REVERB :YEEEEAH!!!
Great sounding pedal! And looks way cool. Kafka is pretty awesome too!
Awesome demo Andy! Seems like a great pedal to plug into a Marshall and get 70s tones
Metamorphosis.... interesting read.
The new guitar is special, it always has a sweet natural tone. Very cool pedal i like the slightly darker reverb sound. Not shrill.
Very Météore-like, and that’s no bad thing
