Obsessed with the idea of stools, our kids walk around with a portfolio all day so our chairs have a bin for them to put on but we have more traditional chairs, something about the stool sings let’s make art. Last year I did art movements table with little labels on each table, so quick and easy, drop and forget. Just finished drafting seating chart, have an idea of each kid which is great and in the 5th grade will definitely do boy girl boy girl. With about 3 weeks before kids return, it’s crunch time. Loving these vids btw!
So glad I found you on TH-cam! I am really trying to get a better handle on classroom management and I love your ideas. I purchased some things on Amazon and they're on their way. I can't wait. I was wondering if you have the template for your lining up of tables specifically the one that has the color of the table and the art supplies sticking out the top. The ones that you hold up to call tables. I love the design and the size. Where can I find this to print out my own? Also, my tables are pretty standard. There are no sides to attach a paint brush picture with numbers. My tables just have the four metal legs and barely an inch thick maybe like 3/4 of an inch. Do you have any other suggestions for that? Thank you so much for your time. I hope you have a wonderful art year! 🙂 - Amy
Some teachers use a stencil and sharpie on a number or use spray paint. Nail polish could also work! They put it on the surface of the table or the edge of the table facing the student. I tried to send you a link for the crayon box/table sign image. It was originally a coloring page and I added in the color words and colored it with markers. If it doesn’t open google crayon box coloring page. It came up in Pinterest too. 🙂Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. Love them. I wanted to try the numbers this year and I am having a moment wrapping my brain around number systems; assign alphabetically and then child 3 and child 4 cannot be together-what to do? With K, I cannot assess behaviors and I end up changing seats a couple of times a year with upper grades. If you change seat, you should not have to change number. What am I missing?
The seat numbers stay in the same spot in order 1,2,3. You write the kids names in pencil and they you can erase and move them around. They get a new number if they switch seats. www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Seating-Chart-8-different-options-11686703

Amazing! No joke, I had a 6th grade student turn the stool upside down and get stuck in it like they fell in a toilet.
Oh my!!! 😂
