when Keith says to Grisha "Are you going to curse someone else too?" he meant it as Grisha deeming Eren special. Grisha's curse was calling Keith special, a chosen one. this led Keith to try to strive for more, to fly even higher. and when you fly higher, you fall harder. Keith was asking if Grisha was now going to do the same thing with Eren.
Theres so many amazing episodes in this show and bystander is one of my favs. Keith thinking he's the main character and that he's meant for greatness, that hes special, then his despair that things dont go the way he wanted them to. Carla's rebuttal that challenges his thinking. With her mindset- everyone is special. Eren hearing what his mom said about him makes me emotional 😭. Hes the main character but hes not like typical shonen characters that are just magically great at everything they try to do. Hes still a kid, he has doubts, gets confused, isnt always 100% right or confident in his actions, but he tries his hardest to do those things.
I remember when this episode came out i was crying of happiness to see all the people sending them off and I thought I was losing my mind when I saw the ending credits like why did it have to be in this episode can’t we be happy in this anime for ONCE
42:48 when Armin stares at Eren when they were sitting at the stairs and talking about the outside world, it's meant to imply that Armin realized that he and Eren had different dreams all this time. he thought they both wanted to see the sea, but because of Eren's reaction, he realized that it wasn't Eren's priority.
Can't add to it but on rewatch it's episodes like this one which in retrospect set up so much on seeing them again hit so hard. This is one of the best written episodes of AOT, and up there with any other episode of any show. So much which might lead to more questions now have them already resolved in time and they can really make you think on the human condition. What we ask of ourselves and others, and how far we are willing to go to answer that call. ETA: you must be thinking of Archimedes.
47:19 - 48:12. The scene that made the whole community confused and traumatized. Can't help hearing the glitching even when you're listening to the original (non-glitching) song.
I watched aot when it first started airing in 2013 and followed it till the end. I remember being at my moms doing some laundry. I let the end credits play while i was doing other things and the sudden change scared the shit outta me

I love how scared sasha still is of shadis 😂. I enlisted when i was 17 and went to basic between my junior and senior year of highschool. The fear is real! But its also hilarious. There was one kid who came into the RSP one month and he was getting in trouble for talking back during class and he eas also told hed need to get his haircut that night. Next day he comes in with his hair TRIMMED. So the mf drill sergeant took him into some of the offices and shaved his head himself. It was the end of the day while the rest of us were ordered to clean up the building. We kept running back and forth to peek at him. When we got back from basic we had the usually PT test and such. The cadre had us in formation and told everyone to hold up their water sources in their left hands. Guess who wasnt holding his up? Drill sgt went up to him and asked him why, he said "because i got used to the water in missouri drill sergeant and now im allergic to the water here". Drill sgt: "thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard" and then he chucked the dudes water bottle across the drill floor. It spilled and leaked and they made him army crawl through the water to clean it up with his uniform 😂
