Amen to this!👏 I'm slowly learning that I have to take better care of myself so that I can be a better wife, mother, church member, etc., and also keeping my priorities straight. I love a nice clean house and everything in order, but that's not more important than my little boy❤ all the stuff and responsibilities will be there later.

Our children would much rather have calm and attentive parents than overwhelmed and overworked parents ❤️ you’re right! Other responsibilities will always be there but moments with our kids can never be gotten back

Getting enough sleep is so important. My husband and I stayed up late last night and today my son, and my cat 😅 both woke me up and I was just feeling so drained. My husband let me go back to bed but I still feel kind of bleh and tired. I know sleep helps me to stay energized. I also like to read the Bible, even if it’s for 1 minute, before I go downstairs to start my day. This morning I went looking for some motivation and saw your newest video and decided to watch it. Beautiful encouragement ❤❤

Nobody talks about sleep! But most of my stress comes from a lack of it breastfeeding two kids throughout the night. This season will pass one day but in the meantime all I can do is lean on the Lord’s strength 💕 we all need him desperately every single day, but good rest certainly helps!

I can sort of relate because I have times where I'm burned out on life. I get tired of being tired. But confessing it while in prayer is the best thing because God wants us to be honest. As an aside, folding laundry is a soothing activity for me : )

When I get tired of being tired I try to scale back and simplify my schedule. I set priorities of things that have to be done, and other than that I give myself free rein to live without a set agenda or schedule and enjoy the small moments in life without feeling busy.

This is really good. I realized a few months ago that I was feeling burned out and spending most of my time scrolling on Instagram because I just didn’t have the energy to even get out of bed. I called my husband one day at work and told him things needed to change and he suggested that I take the entire next day to sit down and wrote out my priorities. I decided to run my home the way that jobs run. I work for two hours and then take a thirty minute break. I prioritize 9 hours of sleep a night (I never set an alarm). I read the Bible and eat breakfast first thing in the morning now to prepare myself for the day. For laundry, I do two small loads every day and I don’t fold anything - just sort by person and put into drawers. Now laundry feels manageable. Dishes I rinse after I use them so they are easy to wash. My toddler helps with cleaning his room and the living room. Yesterday I wrote out two weeks of meals and the grocery list. I don’t mind repeating until I’m in a less busy season. Now it’s just weekly items that I can pick one to do each day! Mamas, we can do this!

You are using wisdom. We can only do so much. We need time off & rest.

Our time with God is so important. You’re right, always ask for help if you need it! Family, church family and friends usually love to help.

Yes! We have a huge village of support from church friends that we can trust ❤️

I belonged to a church in the past volunteered once week in the church office, help print up the monthly news letter to 1,500 people with helpers we grouped the mailing. It was amassive amount of work. And others things. Always asking to do more & more. I made not one good friend thru all that. I was good to help but that was it. Very disappointing & hurtful. Now I read the Bible & study scripture on my own each am. I donot need organized religion to know God.
