What I learned is that cats drink gracefully while dogs drink like there's no tomorrow.
Dogs learn early in life:"It's a dog eat dog world."
But cats are much messier than dogs when they eat.

Legit though, when the cat drank it felt like a documentary of a sophisticated or classical film, when the dog came music completely changed and the milk was splattered everywhere. It was cute lol

Eh , you know they petted them and enjoyed bonding with them likely before and after haha. At least , I’d hope so ! Who would wanna miss such an opportunity? They’re precious!! Although , lugging around such heavy equipment would definitely have its drawbacks , a job getting to enjoy and observe nature and wildlife first hand would be ideal for anyone who has a heart for animals :)

I believe it's called "heteropaternal superfencudity" in humans (twins with different fathers), but dunno about cats/ dogs

My Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix was raised by cats. She preens daily and cleans her eyes with her dew claws. She doesn't even smell like a dog. She's smol and she's my exceptional treasure. ❤️
My chihuahua/Jack Russell mix does the same thing, but was not raised by cats... I think it's a chihuahua thing.
I've seen a cat raised by huskies who goes out & about. Walks on a leash & loves to explore.
I've also seen a husky raised by cats sitting in the classic meatloaf position with their paws tucked in like a cat & looking out the windows bird tv.
What this means is that I spend too much time on TH-cam.

@@bray3349 Yeah they do that sometimes. We have tried with many different bowls but the pulling still continues. But that isn't the cause of the mess because their tongues flick the water upwards so their faces and everything in front of them get wet.

@@captainlazyartist2038 Most people don't understand cats. Many cats don't like being approached and overloaded with affection, especially not by new people. If you let them be and just act normally around them, they will come and have you pet them. Very simple logic, actually.
My sis has a cat that was very antisocial in the beginning. Always spent its time away from the humans. Didn't mind cuddling with the other cats, just didn't like humans. Well, she asked me to sit the cats for a week while she was gone. Since I like my space I left the cats alone, just fed them and cleaned their litter boxes. All the cats spent time with me almost nonstop. The second I sat down on the couch I was surrounded. The "unsocial" cat snoozed on my lap all the time while I was reading or doing whatever on the sofa. He continued this behaviour after sis asked me how I had managed to make him like me. Once she started leaving him alone he came to ask for calm pets.

I hear you. My cat hates bowls. She splashes water out of the bowl, on to the floor, and then laps it up off the floor. Big mess. She's been drinking this way, for thirteen years!
They might fight over breast milk, but they still cuddle when it’s a time to nap.

I was so lucky my dog child was "adopted" by a cat. He didn't need breast feeding, but a friend. Now he eats together and plays together with 10 cats every day. The cat that adopted him never leaves his side. I had no idea cats and dogs could have such a good relationship.

I have had over 20 litters of kittens & 4 of puppies in my life. They all wrestled for teets. Kittens NEVER claimed their own.
Several times we had two cats with kittens at the overlapping "same" time. They always tended to them all & let each other take breaks.

Cats and Dogs kneed the teats of their Mother while nursing it helps the Mother animal to release more hormones to allow the milk to flow. Much like milking a cow. You don't just pull on the cows teats you do a movement with your hand as if you were playing the keys on a piano from your pinky finger down to the index finger while applying a gently pull. I know this may be too much information, but you need to know.....lol😊
I'm allergic to cats so i don't really hangout with them. 2 years a go my bestie adopted an old soul cat. I never really approached him (Charlie) or tried to mingle with him. One day i was parking right across my friend's apt, i was in my car with another friend, charlie was on the other side of the road passing by... he then stopped and looked at me, i yelled Charlie!! Then he came to me and started sitting in the middle of the road. I panicked and lowered the window and told him to go back home or come to me completely! I then opened the car door rushed to get him. He waited me to pet him and off he went. Heck I thought that was nice 😄 we hangout right now just within measure and i took allergy pill before seeing him LOL

I had a dog and two cats. The dog got along fine with the cats but the cats hated each other. The dog was like, "let's all be friends". The cats were all hissing and claws when they saw each other.

My aunt feeds lots of stray cats in her garden, her garden turns into a kindergarden once in every year since multiple cat's give birth at similar times, the cutest thing is that at least like 3 out of 10 kittens are adopted because her neighbours bring weak and abandoned kittens they find and give it to one of the moms, they always take care of the adopted ones as if those kittens are one of their own 🥺

I remembered seeing an old Animal Planets TV Show called “Amazing Animals” with a human host who shows that a female cat has adopted a full litter of puppies before they’d opened their 👀 !!!
My dad had a Yorkshire terrier, he had a stroke and had to go to the UK. I adopted the Yorkie. She was so depressed at not having him, she started to fade away, I thought she was dying of a broken heart. Then I found 3 kittens thrown in the trash, I took them home. My dog adopted them, she would clean them, lick them, cuddle them, allow them to suckle. She even started producing milk, not enough of course, I had to hand feed them. She lived 4 more years. When she got ill the cats would surround her, lick her and purr.
