Session description:
There are many entrepreneurs that are supporting their communities and neighbours in both humanitarian response and long-term social change. Many have core social missions, whether that is tackling rising malnutrition rates or providing jobs for those with disabilities. Global humanitarian organisations are uniquely posed to provide support for these entrepreneurs, who may not catch the attention of ‘traditional’ Western start-up infrastructure and humanitarian/development response.
This session highlights the positive impacts these entrepreneurs are having, and how the existing humanitarian/development system can invest in and support entrepreneurs.
